This is not a game as others have said. But that is fine with me. My biggest issue is this was written like a horny immature person who has never talked to another human being. It is like bad AI scripted teen novel. I don't know what my expectation was - I guess I was excited for a lovecraftian text based adventure game. But the dialog made me cringe so hard I had to quit and remove from my account... and I read Webtoons and smut. This is just on par with bad fanfic.

Meh. Pretty short. Smart a** writing. Not as funny as it think it is.
Finished the stream recently, which I have archived here https://youtube.com/live/uLfGaGP7-WE I decided to stream this after seeing it getting support on Kickstarter and seeming to be one of those good ones that actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ finished their products! The story follows a witch girl from the coven devoted to Shub-Niggurath in this post-lovecraftian world where many of the horrors in the stories have been exposed and it's written in a cute way with cute characters that makes the entire story entertaining. The main character, Charlotte LeStrange, has a strange magical ability with her eyes that seems to randomly alter the memories of those she uses her powers on, accidentally erasing her parent's knowledge of her middle name! The story and adventure were quite fun, however, I felt that when the game was wrapping up, it felt like I should've only been half-way through the game and it was suddenly rushed. Not a bad game and it's got a cute story to it, albeit morbid and dark, but really is a lot of fun.
The Miskatonic is an interesting and kind of adorable lovecraftian virtual novel, so just to let you know this is one of those types of games that talking too much about the story will spoil the experience, so I'll just say the story is about a young witch getting a job at the missotonic university. So what are the likes, the story is really good strange, disturbing and kind of adorable and pretty funny at times. I also like how the story is LGBT friendly,
also like how the story doesn't take itself too seriously and takes some of the tropes of Lovecraft and turns them on their head a little bit.
The gameplay was good nice and simple, all you really need to do is click on characters or certain prompts too advance in the story, nothing too complicated. The graphics are really good has a sort of I guess animeish kind of feel to it, if that's the right word with some good bright colors, even the more somber and dark colors stand out and the whole thing is pretty well detailed. The levels in the game are okay, had some nice little details here and there. The characters are all really good and well written each one with their own interesting looks as well as pretty funny and interesting dialogue, my favorite characters has to be the main character because she’s just like f this and f that when it comes to weird evil lovecraftian nonsense, Lizzy is this cute little lovecraftian creature and the radio announcer which she was just fun to read. The humor is very good it can be a little juvenile, but I found it well written and also made me laugh a bit. The sound effects in the game were nice. Now is this game scary, not really it's more disturbing than actually scary although that isn't really a bad thing I found it quite interesting, especially near certain parts of the end. So what are the dislikes, the only things I dislike is there isn't any achievements to unlock and also the game’s kind of ends on a cliffhanger that hasn't been resolved yet. Also you may need to be familiar with Lovecraft’s work to get a lot of the minutiae in it, but the game does do an okay job in explaining some of it, but those are three small gripes in an otherwise very good game. Now that I've told you this The Miskatonic is an interesting and kind of adorable lovecraftian virtual novel, it’s got a really good story, really good characters and very good humor. So if you like Lovecraft’s work and looking for a good virtual novel that doesn't really take itself too seriously, then I do recommend this game especially since it's like 99 cents.
