The worst thing a game can be, besides boring, is disappointing. This visual novel is disappointing. It promises much but ends abruptly. I haven't played it in years but in my mind lingers a mote of frustration at the mere thought of this game, even though I can't remember the whole of the game. It had potential, but the dev behind it just wanted to work on his quirky barbarian comic instead and abandoned this game, and the supposed beach episode dlc. I asked them about it on twitter, and they responded by blocking me. Honestly, unless this game's free, don't bother.
i hate to say it,but i will not be finishing this Sound Novel (can't be considered a visual novel since this reminds me of the OG Higurashi Sound Novels...and those are more interesting) game. It's too boring to continue and i'm sure some people really enjoyed this game but i was not one of those people. the art looks nice but the atmosphere/background noise can get so mind grating that it's impossible for me to pay attention to what's going on. The 'Humor' in this game is not really funny to me,i do love a few jokes now and again but some jokes are used over and over and it makes me want to skip through dialogue for some characters when i know who will repeat the same damned joke. The story is also not very compelling and is quite forgettable,i guess bonus points for making unique character designs...this could have been a really good game! Overall: Good Concept, but the execution falls way beyond the void itself.
Really enjoyed the story.

The art is cute and some of the characters are endearing and memorable. It has an interesting world setting. However, the writing and story feels super rushed and just kinda ends with a shrug and mild cliffhanger. I legit thought I skipped something a few times because we spend so much time establishing how much a cannibal wants to chew on your butt and then the main plot just fly's by. There is what is supposed to be a twist in the game but the story and the characters aren't established enough to give it any real weight. My play time is also super misleading as when I actually decided to finish this I did it between other tasks I was working on so it was running a lot when I wasn't playing. Your looking at between 2-4 hours in reality. Basically the game feels unfinished and rushed to get to an end. If you think some very mildly suggestive goth girl art with a lovecraftian backdrop can make up for all the plot shortcomings then sure whatever, it's only like a dollar but the internet is right there if that's the only thing your interested in.
The artstyle is absolutely stunning, incredible, beautiful – I can't stress it enough how much I like it, it gripped me the instant I first saw it. The character design is excellent, and while not all of them are winners, I'm blaming that on the Kickstarter "Create a Student NPC" reward threshold – all the main characters' designs are fantastic, and that's what matters. The story is great, and I'm not a Lovecraft fan, so take that as you will. It's not too heavy on the horror, as one might otherwise expect, but the usual dark themes are there: blood, gore, missing and/or extra body parts, horrors beyond human comprehension, all that good stuff. The dialogue is charming and very funny, had me laughing plenty of times. Quite a bit of lewdness, but you know that's what you should be expecting from reading the content description. It's not too short, it's not too long, and it costs less than a dollar. Play it.
I loved it! The writing is fantastic. I loved the artwork. While some characters were clearly background characters, the more important ones were super charming and fun. I see a lot of the negative reviews being like, "This isn't actually a game. There are no choices! You just read it!" Well, one of the tags is "Visual Novel" and it says it again in the About the Game section, so idk what these people's problem is. Similarly, this VN is fairly short at about 3hrs, but it's also $0.99 so idk what people are complaining about. I have just a couple nit-picky critiques. First, it'd be nice if there was a way to see past dialogue for when you accidentally click when you didn't mean to. And second, at least on my screen, character sprites would blink in and out of existence very briefly when they'd change from, for example, a smiley sprite to a concerned-face sprite. But those are just small details. I still really enjoyed it! Fun VN with cool artwork and funny/interesting characters for a dollar.
cant make your own choices just a playable comic. Good art
Would still be overpriced if it was free
