The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya

立绘CG和音乐算是顶尖水平，结果最差的部分反而是最重要的剧情，一句话总结就是我大价钱买来的牛郎结果我还要一直陪他聊…到底谁嫖谁 还以为我在吉原彼岸花 剧情多少有点单薄，作为性转版吉原，玩家作为大名来吉原挑男人，但是本质上感觉核心还是没太多变化，又要花钱又要讨好男人，还需要男人的帮助，也不能随意作为客人进行太多的行动，逆转真没看出来逆转在哪，就好像黑心牛郎店骗人花钱一样。 而且没有哪一条线写得有亮点或者代入感，非常平淡，特别是体验过很多乙游再回来看它，开局就能选线的简单玩法，只有隼人线开局勉强还可以，阳炎线也很得我心，逛逛花街磕磕甜饼，也挺快乐的。HE也是大家都获得了幸福的温暖大家庭，虽然故事发生在牛郎店但是真是个美丽的童话，不过攻略好感度选项加分的机制也有点怪，看似女尊爽文，实际根本没有爽到，有R18剧情但是一笔带过了，说是子供向也没问题，大和抚子的女主还是一如既往的符合日乙本质。 要想逃出吉原这个金碧辉煌的监狱，只能是付出一定的代价或者天降帮助，所以我喜欢吉原的风格，画风也好音乐也好真的很美，像极乐净土歌词里那样，此是梦是幻无虚无实的世界，今宵共此欢狂。 和吉原来一场仅此一夜的狂欢吧。

I played Kikuya on mobile a loooooong time ago, and I remember well loving the art, concept (since I've always been super into the history behind the yoshiwara courtesans) and the characters BUT....yes, the writing wasn't anything special, perhaps for mobage otome standards it wasn't particulary bad, but the game looks and sounds just so good...it honestly could have been something pretty good with more work put into the writting, more choices and maybe longer

[h2]CONTROLS[/h2] How to go full screen: 1. click settings, click screen mode to light 2. right click and press change screen [h2]BASICS[/h2] Rating: 4.5/10 A low quality version of voltage inc I do admit that the art is good, but the plot is a so-so, not to say very bad, and not to say very good either. A very short romance VN with no bad ending, only happy ending and super happy ending, just like voltage inc. But voltage inc produce a much better plot and art.. Moving on to the story... [h2]Prologue[/h2] In a place where men are rare, women often go to Yoshiwara, the red light district to visit men, and y/n happens to walk there and the manager told y/n to choose which man that she desires for the night.. [h2]Takao[/h2] At first I thought that I will only like his face but not his character, he came to me as acting like some sort of a high-end prostitute with a cocky attitude. But, he is surprisingly nice.. [h2]Iroha[/h2] He is the manager of Kikuya, and his job is to take care of customers and arrange men that the customers desired. He piqued my interest in Takao's route, that's why I chose him next, but there are a few things that he said that pissed me off.. 1. A woman who doesn't know how to please men won't receive her favourite man's seed (My mind: Hello? I came here is to pay for men to please me, not for me to please men) 2. Men at Kikuya will choose their favourite customer to sleep with (My mind: So, I pay money not only to please men but also hoping for them to choose to sleep with me) Aa, after that you are being do nice to y/n, you are so weird, now you are making me feel bad for scolding you.. [h2] Kagerou [/h2] A tsundere cinnamon roll, [spoiler] still a virgin when we first met him, and he gave his first to y/n, and got married in SHE [/spoiler]

有點悠久的遊戲 最近買了PSV版再度考古 對比PSV版的普通立繪 STEAM版的2D LIVE立繪是真的香 就是可惜只有PSV版才有語音 說說PSV版和STEAM版的區別 除了立繪和語音 PSV版和STEAM(SWITCH)版有各有一位獨佔角色 STEAM的竹馬實在太香了 起碼我到現在還是有點印象 比起PSV版獨佔角色硬搞劇情 真的是柿子配音都救不回 PSV版多了每個角色ED都有角色歌 和各人新增BE結局+一張CG 但真的沒必要 要買還是買steam版吧便宜划算還中文 以前覺得劇情還行 現在再看就是只適合不帶腦子輕鬆玩玩 要買建議骨折再買 畫風我覺得是真的好看

The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya is a very good visual novel game with a beautiful story. The graphics are nice and the soundtrack is Chill and relaxing... I recommend it. 💗💗💗

先说总结：花钱受这窝囊气 玩了一下花魁的线，女主死恋爱脑花钱逛窑子还整上轰轰烈烈的救赎了，而我花钱玩了一个亲嘴都黑屏的游戏，一时间不知道谁更怨种

LONG REVIEW, as little spoilers ahead as possible but there's still a risk for them, so watch out! Though by god I don't know why you'd want to play this game yourself, it's not worth the time, money or effort. Play time is not indicative of actual gameplay, I leave my games running in the background. So because I lost my original finished review halfway, I'm editing this again in shorter, smaller bulletpoints. The pros: - The art is nice? It works and does its job well - It's more explicit than other games in this genre, so if you're looking for that you're at the right (wrong) place The problems: - Price tag too high for the amount of content, even on sale and in a bundle with the second game (The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohgiya, which I also bought and will review as well, out of spite) - Inconsistencies in characterization spanning over the multiple routes - Inconsistencies in writing quality over the routes + sub stories, because some stories were clearly added later and thus don't fit in with the original intent/story/etc. - Inconsistencies in world building spanning over all routes - The main appeal being the sex scenes, which are either lackluster or (borderline AND straight-up) Sexual Assault, written with erotic and shocking intent. The lines are blurry and it's just genuinely not interesting to read. Literally anything else would be better if you want genuine good smut. - The translation being different for different stories/routes, which only further enhances the inconsistencies that exist because of how some stories were written later and added onto it. The different translation offers a completely different context/nuance to the worldbuilding that simply does not match up, which irks me a lot. - The sub stories and main stories have such a great canyon in quality, that you sometimes wonder whether it's the same game (both in CG art and writing) - There are no bad endings, just two differing happy endings, which in this particular game does no favours besides being tedious to complete - For something that I expected to follow at least somewhat historical vibes, it completely fails to the point even someone as uninformed as me can notice it's not genuine or attempting to be. Another selling point thrown in the bin - There is clear favouritism of this one character that I absolutely hate, and while this is petty, he is also the one with the most content overall, which I feel defeats the purpose. Why didn't they market this guy as their head LI instead? It's just baffling - And so so much more. I can't go into detail because I feel I'll lose my mind. I already lost it by trying to write a coherent review for like... 2 or so hours now. Wish me luck with the next game...

Okay, I would recommend it, but only with very special conditions met: 1) It's on sale; 2) You're starving for otome and/or you've read too much good otomes, so you need to lower your bar [strike] to hell [/strike] a little (my case); 3) You can push through not very good english; 4) You can turn off your brain and enjoy the game that so bad it's kind of good. I have a weird love-hate kind of relationship with this one. I played the mobile version a long time ago, so maybe there's some nostalgia mixed in in there too. If short, story ranges from unbearable and "tf am I reading" to "awww that was actually kind of cute". Also, all routes have really dumb moments in them, but some more than the others. And Tokiwa is the best boy, argue with the wall. Music is ok, graphics are the best thing about this game - very pretty. And sometimes boring, and has quite a few yikes moments. And characters can be pretty annoying. Here's some of my thoughts on every route and characters. [b] MC [/b] [list] [*] it's a miracle she can even walk, spineless that she is. [*] i hope she drinks enough water, cause I'm pretty she's constantly dehydrated from the amount of crying that she does. [*] she's dumb, like really dumb. [spoiler] For example, Kagerou route. Fell in love with courtesan -> found out other women want to buy him -> "How could I not understand such simple consequence". Cause you a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot, honey. Your last brain cell was super lonely in that nugget of yours, so she left too. [/spoiler] [*] this extreme ideas of "modesty" and "innocence" piss me off. [spoiler] Like in Kagerou route - they already slept together, but she's too "shy" to kiss him on the lips? Or Kagura route - they're married for fk sake, but she can't say to him she thinks he's handsome? Ridiculous. [/spoiler] [*] favourite phrases: "Huh?" and "Ngh!.." [/list] [b] Kagerou [/b] [list] [*] there is tsundere and there is toxic abusive prick. He's more of the second one. [*] [spoiler] sexual assault ain't romantic [/spoiler]. [*] [spoiler] in his route everyone around MC lied to her, made her believe she's dying just so this stupid, proud, stubborn man-child could accept his sister's offer to buy his freedom. [spoiler] Like how he taught him how to sexually assault women because you can't understand your own stupid feelings! [/spoiler] [*] [spoiler] but he's more experienced. He can act possessive too! Yikes. [/spoiler] [*] hate to admit that his route had some genuinely cute moments. [spoiler] Like the moment with the book - proud Kagura asking others to help him cause he wants to help MC. Or how he literally gave her money so she could buy him, because he just wanted to see her more. That's sweet. Or how MC had some character development ... -ish. "I'll proudly walk my path even if I can't be with you, because you inspire me" - dramatic af, but pretty cool. [/spoiler] [/list] [b] Takao [/b] I'm conflicted. [list] [*] can be fun and cute. Can be way too arrogant, possessive and obsessive. Like a child with a toy. [*] [spoiler] double sexual assault! From Tokiwa and then from Takao. You spoil me, truly. [/spoiler] [*] big twist is [spoiler] possible incest? What fun. [/spoiler] [*] story felt really rushed towards the end. Also, it's like devs forgot about CG, cause like half the route without them and then BAM! three in a row. [*] endings are sweet though. [/list] [b] Hayato [/b] [list] [*] why are you here? [*] [spoiler] possessive creep obsessed with virginity and "purity". [/spoiler] [*] I felt NO chemistry between him and MC. At all. [*] it's just boring. And dumb. And rushed. [/list] [b] Iroha [/b] [list] [*] was my favourite when I played on mobile. What can I say, children are dumb and I was no exception. [*] treating MC like a child. Talking about "teaching her about pleasures of Yoshiwara". Yikes. Pretty creepy considering the possible age gap. [*] [spoiler] in first fking chapter he's talking to her how if she can't get dude hard, she won't get his precious jizz to get her preggy. Uuuuugh. [/spoiler] [*] [spoiler] they want you to believe that the twist is her possibly having to sleep with Kagerou or the whole arranged marriage thing (which, btw, was solved by Iroha literally threatening to kill any new fkboy of hers). Well, no! The big twist is that in this route she's the horny one and Iroha just like "naah". [/spoiler] [*] This route. Is. So. DUMB. [spoiler] "Why did you wanted to sleep with Tokiwa?" [strike] cause who wouldn't [/strike], "Because...because I like you!". I'll give no context for this one. [/spoiler] [*] 2 season is so unnecessary. I hate Azusa. And I hate Iroha a little bit more, cause he's a complete ♥♥♥♥ in season 2. [/list] [b] Tokiwa [/b] Jewel in a trash. Best boy. Maybe because his route was a like breath of fresh air after the other ones, maybe because I have huge weakness for blonds, but he was my favourite. [list] [*] he just so cute. A bit childish, a bit simple, a bit sad, actually kind. Idk, just cute. [*] [spoiler] didn't try to force himself at her in the first meeting. Was actually worried about her getting safely back. Yes, the bar is that low. [/spoiler] [*] [spoiler] didn't try to sexually assault her for the whole route! First few meetings they were just cuddling. Cute. [/spoiler] [*] [spoiler] When he kissed her for a first time wasn't even sexual. Also he said "This one is not for sale", "I'm not playing games or flattering you, I just thought I wanted to kiss you". ADORABLE! [/spoiler] [*] proud, but not arrogant. Has his principles. [spoiler] Like he refused to become top courtesan just because Takao is injured. He wanted to achieve his dream with his own effort. Admirable. [/spoiler] [*] the cutest confession. [*] [spoiler] MC actually wanted to sleep with him, but he was reluctant, cause he didn't want it to be just like with other clients. And here I thought it was illegal in Yoshiwara to make sense. [/spoiler] [*] best route, hands down. [/list] Anyway, it's a fun game to lose your mind. 10/10, I hate it!
