About
One day, a gargantuan alien spaceship invades and unleashes countless combat weapons upon Earth, demolishing human civilization in the blink of an eye. Although humans succeeded in developing special weapons that could deal an effective blow to the aliens, it was too late to revive their civilization.
To this day, however, the Earth has yet to fall silent despite its abandoned cities, for swarm weapons known as "CogrinaUnits," 12-meter-tall autonomous humanoid units, collect and operate the limited number of special weapons that remain, and continue to fight against the aliens, all for the sake of accomplishing the mission humanity entrusted them with....

・Choose whether to take down the multi-legged robot weapons ravaging the city by leveraging the terrain, or to move in close and finish them off.
・The next unit is sent out immediately once you are defeated.
・Only a limited amount of equipment remains, so you'll need to recover items from defeated units to continue the battle.
・Find out what comes of the battle against the overwhelming enemy forces
・Light-hearted conversation scenes with fellow units during intermissions
・Plus a shiba inu!

It's pretty great :D Solid gameplay, sound design, not too long but has potential for challenge runs and replays on harder difficulties. Also post-story stuff, cute dog, and can be surprisingly hype given the bleak/desperate setting. It is, indeed, pretty great >:D
Great game, but know what to expect. It's very short. Really good arcady fun that's replayable, and they also have a post game mode that remixes all the existing missions and has an extra ending cutscene. Took me a total of four hours to play all the missions and do the end game stuff. I still have a couple achievements to get (all the achievements are hidden in this), guessing it's time attack or difficulty stuff. Also: If you're worried about eye strain, don't. The colors are balanced just right to be high contrast and easily differentiated. This game is adorable. I wasn't expecting just how cute it ended up being. Yeah sure there's the robot girls and the dog in the advertising, but it doesn't quite give you the full picture on all these robot girls trying to keep each other repaired and going on missions just to rescue the dog. So if you're looking for something a little on the wholesome side, this checks that box. I'm actually surprised at how many genuinely good but also kinda wholesome and downright family friendly shooters I'm finding lately. Onirism is another good example if you're interested. This game is also a lot faster than I was expecting. Sure I was using the upgrade that lowers your armor and increases your speed the entire time, but even if you're not using it this isn't a game that really rewards staying still. Made me wonder what the point of the equipment that reinforces buildings is. I really love that all of the weapons have their own complexities and skills to learn, really makes the one-weapon limit feel worth it since you have to figure out how to exploit a weapon's characteristics to deal with any situation that crops-up. The process of picking up a new weapon and learning all its little quirks was pretty fun. The sword in particular was very satisfying to use for me. And the short missions keep that weapon limit from feeling like an arbitrary pain. I do question the decision to not let you use new weapons on older missions though, kinda makes me not want to replay those because I want to use the weapons I prefer. Seems like the ability to use any weapon on any mission should be a completion reward, which would increase replayability in a game that needs as much as it can get by letting you solve the puzzle of what loadout would let you decrease your time. Or just experimenting in general. If this was any more than $10 I'd be a lot harsher, but for the price of a couple fast food meals this is a great time to pop on here and there. If what you see in the marketing appeals to you, then you're probably gonna enjoy it.
Short but sweet fun game

If you're a fan of fast paced shooters in tight arenas, this game is definitely for you. I just cleared the game on Hard mode and it's definitely a blast. Completely recommended to pick up at full price. It's a short game with a lot of skill-based replayability, particularly for people that like to beat their own time-based scores. There are also Extra bonus missions that offer harder variations on the storyline missions, which is also great. Movement feels similar to something like Quake, minus bunny-hopping/circle/strafe-jumping, though with the light armour powerup, you do get movement that feels similar to promode with decent air control. I imagine someone might work out some kind of movement tech for this down the line, as I felt like there was crouch-slide-jump speed boosts but it could have been placebo. The downside that I found for the game is that the starting rifle is too good once you get used to it, and other weapons don't offer the same flexibility. Though, I also never really used the other weapons, outside of using them once each to see what they do, due to favouring the starter weapon. The other downside I noticed was that the shop is poorly explained and hard to work out initially. I thought it was split into usable items that you equip and passive items that you don't need to, but it turns out everything is equipable from the shop to get the benefits. Oncee again, if you're interested in this one, pick it up. It's a rewarding skill-based arena shooter that's a lot of fun. PS: Limit your FPS or your gpu might catch on fire, I was getting like 3000FPS at one point
