Great mix of beat them all and tower defense. Local co-op is a blast and the dogs are super cute!
I originally bought this game on Epic because one of my friends worked on it, and it is one of the few games that have been developed in El Salvador. After I started playing it I got a little addicted to it and wanted to unlock all achivements, however, my computer died but I wanted to finish the game, so I bought it again for the Nintendo Switch and unlocked everything, but now that I have an Steam Deck I decided to buy it again so I can get the achievements. The game is not perfect but it is fun. The game is like a mix between the original plant vs zombies with river city girls. You set your defense and fight at the same time.

For about 2-3 hours I thought this game was ****ing awesome. A plants vs zombies clone with a higher difficulty (not try hard but often requriing a few retries as you plan and adapt), brawler mechanics thus reducing the amount of dead air and cute doggos? Hell yeah! However around the second boss the difficult and strategy go out the window, with the optimal strategy just being mindless spamming the basic turret dog and mashing basic attack and uppercut, and the difficult goes from being moderately and enjoyable challenging to utterly brain dead. Its not like I found an obscure exploit either, litereally just spam basic turret and spam punches and uppercuts and completely roll over everything. There's another bug where if you fully upgrade your attack branch tree your attack power drops to 20% instead of going up to 120% and the devs never responded. For a game that's been out 5 years thats ridiculous I get a feeling the game wasn't tested past the 2nd boss either because I quickly found a glitch that should have been patched years ago where pressing the advance wave early button gives you the money but doesn't advance the wave, and you can do this indefinetly, which i have to resist doing lest i make the game even easier. And you cant actually start the wave early even if you want to. The towers are also poorly balanaced, the controls for placing them is awkard opting for some wierd wheel thing instead of just the button and press the number/button asocited it, and the systsem incenstivises spamming one tower and having the rest be Skill dogs, who provide passive buffs to your dude. This game could have been awesome but needed more time in the oven. Might still be worth it heavily on sale but don't buy at fully price. Its a shame because plants vs zombie with brawling and dogs was such a brilliant concept
Good boy!
Bir şeyler eksik ama biz anlayamadık.
不好玩,狗狗主题塔防,靠主角操作和放狗狗塔来保卫基地,操作繁琐,动作生硬,而且还没有中文。
I'm on the fence with The Last Friend. This is kind of a Plants vs Zombies clone with lanes for a tower defense game but it's also a beat em up. You control a character who runs around the level and can fight enemies while turrets also do their thing. All of the mechanics are rather basic between tower defense and beat em up. It certainly works pretty well for what it is. Now I don't know if maybe the game isn't for me, even if I got it to relive some PvZ nostalgia, but after about 2 hours, I don't really have any desire to go on. The first turret you get is very strong and you can level it up to cover three lanes. After about an hour and a half, you'll enter levels with 5 lanes so it prevents you from just building those turrets down the middle but I still just found myself building those in lanes 2 & 4 over and over. As a result, every level started feeling rather repetitive. Fortunately, there are some levels that are strictly beat em up to break up the pacing a bit. I did enjoy the first hour and a half or so but it starts to drag from there. I got the game cheap as part of a bundle so I'm happy with my purchase with my limited experience with it but your miles may vary. I'd say it's worth picking up on the cheap if you can find it at the right price.
Excelente!
A fun little PvZ inspired game with some simple but effective beat 'em up elements, full of doggos and you can even pet them.
Fun little tower defense/beat-em-up combo, that had a great aesthetic regarding dogs, that doesn't take itself too seriously. Certain combos are really strong, and it allows a lot of synergy, plus you can pet all the dogs!
