The Last Faith

Also der Selling Point von Last Faith ist die Grafik, die Pixeloptik ist einfach durchgängig stimmig und atmosphärisch. Im spielerischen offenbart es aber seine Schwächen. Als Souls Like war es zu leicht für mich, denn bis auf den Endboss habe ich alle Bosse im First Try gelegt und das man Heilitems finden vereinfacht die Erkundung der Gebiete viel zu stark. Da wären mehr Mechaniken pro Boss und ein Heilsystem mit aufladbaren Pot, wie in Dark Souls oder Elden Ring besser gewesen. Fairer weise muss ich aber dazu sagen, das ich geübt bin, da Metroidvanias und Soulslikes jeglicher Art zu meinen Lieblingsgenre gehören. Als Metroidvania ist Last Faith leider auch nicht wirklich gut, da es sich relativ träge steuert und nicht immer zu hundert Prozent präzise. Nichts desto trotz hat es mir Spaß gemacht, insbesondere nachdem alle Bewegungsfähigkeiten freigeschaltet waren. So genau kann ich gar nicht benennen warum, ich denke hauptsächlich wegen der wirklich sehr guten Pixelgrafik und weil alle Einzelteile zusammen trotz dessen gut genug sind um Spaß zu machen. Wer mal gerade Ebbe hat weil er alles relevante an Soulslike und Metroidvania schon durch hat, kann zugreifen.

Satisfying side-scroller with fun and interconnected areas, beautiful artwork, various playstyles, and grim atmosphere. Despite being presented as a hard game, I never felt like it was truly that hard. It pleased me that I never had to go grind just to improve my stats. Though, some balance in the combat system is lacking as I found myself completely disabling enemies by repeatedly slashing, and slashing, and slashing, ... Bosses were great though, each with their own unique design. The story felt a little dry sometimes, trying to be mysterious in the ways of Blasphemous, Elden Ring, and Dark Souls without actually answering what was going on. Sure, the way dialogues are written sounds very medieval and gothic, but the actual contents of what was being said were a little lacking. Loved the visuals, particle effects, and pixelart. The game reflects the creators' clear love for their craft with careful attention to detail. Definitely a worthy souls-like game.

Fun game, not too challenging and has a nice art style and gloomy atmosphere. would reccommend.

This is for those who ely apreciatte both motroidvanias and souls-like games, game game is hard enough to chalange you and it is engaging, there a lot a secrets to find and some of them are tough. The combat and exploration are rly good and thats the core of this type of game. The lore is kinda like a soulsborne game, you dont get the full picture just playing it, you need to read items descriptions to get the full picture, wich i like very much.
