The Last DeadEnd is an okay and kind of interesting action horror game, now what is the story. It has been many years since Farhad Novruzov has been in his hometown, having moved after the disappearance of his mother and moving to America to study abroad it has been a long time. But when a national television channel is interested in doing a documentary of his homeland Farhad takes this opportunity as he is the most qualified to write the script, but after meeting his old friend and being given a recently discovered book the young man is soon thrust into a mission to stop the apocalypse, but can he do it or will he come to a dead end. The likes, the gameplay is okay it's pretty simple just explore and kill any enemies that gets in your path, there's no real puzzles or anything just a simple shoot and proceed to the next level. The story was okay and kind of interesting as well as it used Zoroastrianism religion for the story, although there were some parts that were a bit confusing mostly because how it's written. The graphics are okay despite some weird facial animations it wasn't half bad to look at; it had an okay use of color too. The levels were okay, pretty diverse and also the city levels is actually based on real locations which I found pretty cool. The voice acting was okay, it was serviceable kind of wooden and a bit strange in certain places, but it's serviceable. The enemies and bosses were pretty good, each one having their own unique design which are taken from mythology which was pretty cool. The music and sound effects were okay nothing really interesting, except a few parts in the old city where we pass a radio and there was a song playing that was nice to listen too. The atmosphere in the game was okay could be pretty spooky sometimes, but after you play the game for a while it gets less spooky. The three different modes to play, survival mode, kill a certain amount of enemies and wave mode, we're pretty good time wasters after beating the main game. Now the best thing in the game is these encyclopedia entries which are very good, basically when you play the game and look at certain things you're giving an encyclopedia entry about the characters, location and facts; I found them really good as it teaches you about the land and about Zoroastrianism. Now is the game scary, it can be a little bit scary, especially when you first play it and even after playing the game a second time there are still some things that can made me jump. The dislikes, the game has no map you can look at when you get lost, but there should be a map as I was playing the game I got a bit lost, especially in the old city levels so I would have liked a map to see where I was are, but sadly there isn't. While I said the story is okay it does have some problems and it's mostly in its word phrasing, what I mean by that is the main character asks about an entrance to the catacombs where he and his friend played as children, but he says it like, by the way do you know if the entrance into the catacomb where we were playing in childhood is opened. It just felt like weird phrasing, I don't know maybe it's because of the English translation but felt weird and a bit off-kilter. Also there is one level that's really, really stupid in the heading to Maiden tower level after seeing a crane drop a bunch of enemies will spawn, like before I thought they'd be simple to kill like the others, but turns out for some reason these enemies are basically bullet sponges, even the most powerful gun you can get cannot be enough to kill them, also there are a lot of them to kill. But in a walkthrough it told me how to kill them while not getting hurt, but still it did take like a good couple minutes before they were all dead due to the fact they were bullet sponges. Alright now that I told you this The Last DeadEnd is an okay and kind of interesting action horror game, with an okay gameplay, an okay and kind of interesting story and very good encyclopedia entries. So do I recommend this game I actually do, it has its problems but it's not that bad, it's actually pretty okay for a time waster and it's like seven bucks.

Şəhərin küçələrində doğma dili eşitmək inanılmaz bir hissdir. Oyunun atmosferi bunu xüsusi edir və bir növ tanış mühit yaradır. Başlanğıcda sanki bir gəzinti simulyatoru kimi hiss etdirir, amma zamanla müəyyən bir formaya düşür. Boss döyüşləri nə möhtəşəm, nə də zəifdir – sadəcə var və oyunun axışına əlavə olunur. Bununla belə, oyunda çoxsaylı məntiq xətaları və təcrübəni baltalayan detallarla rastlaşmaq mümkündür. Əgər başqa bir ölkədən olsaydım, bəlkə də oyuna daha sərt yanaşardım. Amma doğma dili eşitmək və bu atmosferi hiss etmək mənə yetərincə maraqlı gəldi. Bəzi texniki problemlər həll olunsa, daha axıcı və cəlbedici təcrübə ola bilərdi.
OYUNUN BİR TEK PİS TƏRƏFİ VAR ODA SƏSLƏNDİRMƏLƏRİN AZERBAYCAN DİLİNDƏ OLMADIĞI ƏN AZINNAN SƏSLƏNDİRMƏ DİLİNİ DEYİŞMƏYCÜN SECƏNƏK OLSAYDI AMA OYUN ƏLADI
You know, it's not often when you come across a game like The Last DeadEnd. Not saying it's a rare gem, but it does what it does as a game in a very "interesting" way. It takes the idea of a cheesy detective movie, blends it with a bland horror game with some action, and makes a whole new kind of baby. Again, I say the game was very cheesy during my play through, but it was enjoyable. It had its moments where it kinda creeped me out, other times where it confused me, and times where it made me laugh. It's just an all around dumb, yet fun game. It's something that can't really be taken seriously, but you gotta respect the work that went into making it. Props to the dev for the laughs, creeps, and weird times! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSef6kxRVJU

Well, like all indie games this game is also clunky and wh*cky, switches between sprinting and walking, controls and etc. feel weird. The game tells us old stories about Baku city, Zoroastrianism and Avesta itself, but there are some illogical aspects of the story I would like to point out. Firstly, the first encounter with banshee-like female ghost called Drudj. She throws Farhad Novruz (main character) away. Then in the same level she appears again and throws some liquid line in front of her?! Then throws him way further and it looks like he fell into pit and somehow survived without a scratch? Okay, next is about the fight against Drudj. When you die, the death animation is shown like she throws you again. But wouldn't it be better if she just rip your stomach with her long hands and fingers? Then there is a fight against Dragon, Farhad after wounding its leg, decides just to go oher way? He should have known that Dragon wouldn't die by just that, and after that Dragon speaks. You are given option to take a good side, or evil side. If you take evil side
you just kill the dragon. I mean, wouldn't it be better to leave it alive and rule the world together?
That is exactly what Dragon said to Farhad. Also, the fight against Dragon was the easiest one so far. Health and ammo are not visible, crows, too. Other than these, the game is playable and informative, but I expected more action TBH.
I liked this game.
The Last DeadEnd approaches horror from a direction that feels noticeably different from the usual abandoned hospitals, laboratories, and haunted houses. Developed and published by AzDimension, it is a single-player adventure that combines first-person exploration, supernatural horror, historical investigation, puzzle-like discovery, and gun-based combat. Its technical execution can be rough in places, but the unusual Azerbaijani setting and emphasis on regional history give the experience a personality that helps it stand apart from many similarly scaled horror projects. The story centers on Farhad Novruzov, a young scientist who returns to his homeland to participate in the production of a documentary for an international television channel. The assignment soon develops into something much more disturbing as unexplained events begin connecting the present with ancient history, religious traditions, mysterious inscriptions, and supernatural forces. Farhad is particularly suitable as a protagonist because his scientific background creates an interesting contrast with the increasingly irrational and frightening circumstances surrounding him. Instead of presenting the player as a conventional action hero, the narrative emphasizes investigation and the gradual discovery of what is happening. One of the game's greatest strengths is its use of Baku, Azerbaijan as an important part of the experience rather than merely a decorative backdrop. Historical architecture and recognizable locations influence the environmental design, particularly within the old city. Fortress structures, narrow passages, ruins, palaces, archaeological spaces, and other culturally inspired environments create a setting rarely explored by horror games. This historical foundation becomes especially effective when supernatural elements begin appearing within places that otherwise feel connected to a genuine cultural heritage. Exploration is consequently more important than the presence of firearms might initially suggest. Players are encouraged to search locations, examine objects, investigate unusual details, and learn more about the subjects connected to the central mystery. Certain items can be viewed closely from different angles, making environmental observation a regular part of progression. The game also contains an encyclopedia that gathers information about historical locations, notable individuals, objects, symbols, and other discoveries. For players who enjoy reading supplementary material, this system adds meaningful context to the environments rather than treating collectibles as arbitrary rewards. Farhad also possesses technological glasses that can assist in deciphering inscriptions written in ancient languages. This mechanic complements his scientific identity while strengthening the investigative side of the adventure. It helps establish the idea that understanding the past is almost as important as surviving the dangers of the present. References to Zoroastrianism and other historical or mythological subjects further reinforce this direction. The result occasionally feels like an interactive supernatural investigation mixed with an educational glimpse into a culture rarely represented in mainstream games. Combat introduces a more conventional first-person shooter component. Farhad encounters dangerous supernatural creatures and must defend himself using available weapons. Some enemies take inspiration from local mythology and legends, which helps maintain the cultural identity established by the environments. Boss encounters provide larger confrontations and occasionally require more deliberate tactics than simply firing continuously. Unfortunately, shooting is also one of the areas where the game's independent production limitations become most apparent. Weapon handling, enemy reactions, animation, and general combat feedback can feel stiff compared with dedicated shooters. The campaign moves through a variety of atmospheric locations, including ancient structures, underground or ruined spaces, old fortifications, and other environments associated with the region's history. A flooded fortress and historical palace surroundings are among the kinds of places that help maintain visual variety. Darkness, isolation, supernatural creatures, and the uncertainty surrounding Farhad's discoveries generate much of the tension. The horror is generally more effective when the player is exploring unfamiliar historical spaces than when the game relies heavily on direct combat. There is also a separate survival component for players interested in spending more time with the action mechanics. Different scenarios revolve around surviving enemy waves, defeating opponents under particular conditions, or remaining alive for as long as possible. This provides some additional longevity after the primary story, although it does not possess the same appeal as the campaign's combination of mythology, history, exploration, and mystery. The narrative adventure remains the strongest reason to experience the game. Visually, the game can produce convincing atmosphere despite obvious limitations in animation quality, character presentation, effects, and overall refinement. Environmental design generally makes a stronger impression than character models or combat animations. Sound and darkness contribute effectively to the feeling of danger, while the historical locations give the presentation a distinctive visual foundation. The experience can occasionally feel dated or mechanically unpolished, but its atmosphere benefits considerably from choosing artistic identity over generic horror scenery. Steam Deck compatibility should be approached with some caution. The game does not carry an official Steam Deck Verified or Playable designation on its Steam listing. It is primarily designed as a Windows PC release, so running it on Steam Deck may rely on Proton and could require controller configuration or other adjustments. Players specifically purchasing it for Valve's handheld should therefore regard Steam Deck support as unofficial rather than guaranteed. The Last DeadEnd ultimately succeeds more through originality of setting than mechanical sophistication. Its gunplay and technical presentation have noticeable rough edges, but its combination of Azerbaijani history, Baku architecture, ancient religion, mythology, supernatural horror, environmental investigation, and educational background material gives it an unusual character. Players who prioritize highly refined FPS mechanics may find its limitations frustrating, while those interested in culturally distinctive horror adventures are more likely to appreciate what it attempts. As a complete experience, it is an imperfect but intriguing independent production whose strongest qualities emerge whenever it focuses on discovery, atmosphere, and the relationship between history and supernatural fiction. The historical environments and regional influences provide enough individuality to compensate for many of its mechanical shortcomings. It may not deliver blockbuster-level polish, but it offers something arguably more valuable for adventurous horror fans: a setting and cultural perspective they are unlikely to encounter very often elsewhere.
