it's chill
It feels a bit mean spirited to write such a scathing review on what is essentially a lightly repackaged itch.io game but wow this is insufferably bad. Puzzles aren't difficult, but are pointlessly vague to the point that they're literally unsolvable without a guide (example: the puzzle talking about the dog is actually talking about a mannequin? we are apparently supposed to know that the mannequin is being possessed by the dog without not being told that a single time the entire game, peak writing!). The game punishes you for healing, which wouldn't be an issue if the game's combat actually followed the rules it sets in the journal, the most infuriating part about it is that if you follow the rules of the "combat" perfectly it works a good half of the time, the other half? Literally undogeable damage that can literally soft lock you out of finishing certain endings for no reason. Not to mention the nails-on-a-chalkboard 3 song soundtrack consisting of blown out headache inducing uninspired 8bit melodies (all songs of which abruptly cut out at random portions lmao), and the total lack of any chapter select features, makes actually trying to finish this horrific game an ever more obnoxious endeavor. Do not play this game unless you like ♥♥♥♥♥♥ vague point and click 8bit horror with infuriatingly bugged combat. All love to the creator however, I hope he makes better games in the future.

Nice short stylish quest. It is not scarry, but it is pretty looking, has nice, puzzles, good bits of story and a lot of endings. If you like dark stylish puzzles, you definetly shoud try this one out.
achei mt legal, divertido 7/10
Very creative callback to old point and click games and horror games. Love the artstyle and the interactivity of the game world
A great little retro Gothic horror title. You explore the house room by room to uncover the mystery of the Salazar family. A woman with a knife will occasionally chase you and you must quickly get to a hiding place to escape. Multiple endings means this shorter game has replayabilty.
The Horror of Salazar House foi uma experiência bem única e imersiva. Nota 7/10.
Really fantastic, short and sweet, point and click horror-adventure. Getting all of the achievments was very fun, and the developer note at the end was nice to read and gives me hope for my own game-development pursuits.
