About

The CHALLENGE CREATOR is a major update to THE HORDE WANTS YOU DEAD that allows you to setup challenges how you want to. This isn't just about tweaking how big the horde is or how strong enemies are, instead we've exposed most of the game's systems to the Challenge Creator. Create extreme setups, go crazy OP, make fiendishly difficult challenges - The game is entirely in your hands!

THE HORDE WANTS YOU DEAD is a chaotic shoot'em up where you and your squad must survive against hundreds and thousands of angry and fearless enemies. The game is designed to be a challenging experience throughout - you won't find "survivors-like" OP upgrades or magical abilities here - it's just you, your weapon, some grenades and your teammates, as you use all your skill and focus to defeat ever more difficult horde onslaughts.

Test your skills over 5 levels of challenge, with increasing horde size, new enemy types and new weapons. Keep your bullets flying, throw grenades at large groups, roll away from danger. Learn and adapt to different enemies. Use all the tools at your disposal to match their quickly overwhelming numbers. And when you're ready, try Endless mode and see how long you can survive!

Gather your friends and play in 4-player online co-op. Strategize with your squad to focus on tougher enemies or try to split up the horde around the map. Keep each other alive and you might just stand a chance!

With full ragdoll physics for all enemies, send bodies and dismembered limbs flying through the air with a perfectly placed grenade. Watch as blood spurts out from every hit, slash and bullet hole, dynamically covering the arena. Gaze upon the scarred battlefields, littered with cracks and scorch marks - you could almost call it art!

Collect coins from downed enemies to earn supply crates with a selection of upgrades. From more health and faster movement to stronger grenades and lower cooldowns, improve your character and increase your fire power to keep up with the horde. Supplies are limited so pick wisely!

Fighting the horde is hard work but it pays off. Receive XP from kills, assists and wins, level up to gain skill points and then use them to permanently upgrade a stat of your choosing. Every little bit helps!

love it, john wick stickman type of game.
not good
pretty decent time waster. there isn't much skill needed to progress. think of it as a high quality flash game.

Performance [10/10] I have experienced zero bugs and the animations are very smooth. I have also experienced zero lag issues even with a massive horde on screen, but I'll admit I have a decent PC. Guns/Enemies [10/10] The guns feel great and while each upgraded tier is just a better version of the previous, they do encourage different playstyles. I think they hit the sweet spot for the enemy variety and coloring. When I get into the zone, the color intensity helps me target the specials in order of threat (Juicers > Brutes > Bombers > Harpooners). I've just made those names up, but iykyk. Difficulty [8/10] The difficulty curve is decent and things get pretty hairy from difficulty 4 and up. When I first started playing, I blasted up thru difficulty 1-3, but ran into a wall at 4, so I started beating 1-3 with each weapon and with the very small boosts of the passive skill tree, I was able to get 4 and eventually 5. I will admit the passive skill tree is fairly uninspired, but oh well. Music/SFX [10/10] I found the SFX to be solid. The gun sounds are very enjoyable, which is important as you'll be hearing them constantly. Most of the music in this game is high adrenaline and incredible. I usually turn down game music, but I've got it cranked in this one. There are a few tracks that are kind of mediocre, but 90%+ are great. Verdict [9/10] I can somewhat understand the hate that this game is getting, as there isn't a ton of content to it, but I think what it does, it does very well. The core gameplay loop is very fun and engaging. Anyone that's a fan of twin stick shooters will likely enjoy this as long as you're not expecting a huge game.
if you can get 3 other people to play with you then yes worth it
is fun
