There's almost something here, but the game has difficulty processing its own mechanics after a while and, by the end, every run was lagging down into single digit fps. To be fair, it recognizes this flaw and some upgrades/units have warnings that the performance will take a hit and it has nothing to do with your PC. Whether that makes the problem better or worse, I'm not sure. If you don't mind jank and can get it for a couple bucks, then there's some fun to be had here. Otherwise I'd stay away.

Each upgrade you unlock doesn't meaningfully change anything about the game. You can respec as much as you want but everything feels about the same. Somewhat pricey at 10 dollars compared to what you can get in other games.

The game is fun enough but DO NOT pay full price. It took 7 hours to fully beat the game and what is left is just hitting "start new day" over and over hoping to get the last couple of artifacts. There are multiple bugs and some severe performance issues in the late game with some builds (ferrets are a disaster). That said I got it in a bundle for a little over 3 bucks and it was fun enough. If the game were like $3 regular price I would say it is an easy purchase. $10 is frankly far too much for 7, maybe 8 hours to 100% it and the last hour would be just starting a run over and over. If I could rate it "meh" i would. It isn't bad but it is overpriced.

It's looking repetitive and samey for it to work like an idle game. Instead of allowing the game to play itself you have to constantly select a unit and hold down to cut over and over again without stopping. Maybe it gets better later but right now it's a tiresome to sit through.

Awful performance in higher stages, acknowledged by the game itself. Annoyingly, the only thing unaffected by lag is the timer, leading to a frustrating experience watching the day tick down while making 0 progress.

Came for the gameplay, stayed for the story. Hoping for a part 2!
