About
The Hollow Lighthouse is a story-driven survival horror game that drops you on a remote, forgotten island off the Romanian coast. You’re an electrician sent to fix the lighthouse—but soon realize the light is the only thing keeping you safe.

Wander through thick pine forests, climb eerie cliffs, and explore abandoned buildings scattered across the island. Strange figures lurk in the woods. An unsettling old keeper watches from the shadows. And something else... something not quite human... is following you.
The further you go, the darker it gets.
Fix the light… before it’s too late.

I rarely play games that are this short or not so popular in our community, but I like how they can tell you a story with such details in so little time. A good example can be Sanator: Scarlet Scarf, The Room games and Firewatch. I read that Firewatch was made by 11 people and what surprised me was that one single developer could make the same atmosphere that was made by many others. I liked how lights and fog works in this game, it was a scene, that even in nowadays games you see rarely. I recommend this game to everyone, because it can give you something that others games made on conveyor can't give you and that is a soul, a really easily spotted Soul. The game is cheap, but beautifully made, so it's your loss if you didn't play it.
This game is largely a chore simulator of a horror game since it literally makes you run around the island like an insane person just to find fuses with an EMF reader. To make things worse there are no paths or roads on the island its just vast grass fields, fields, and mini mountains so this game will get dull very quickly and I guess you have to find fuel cans afterwards based on the other review which makes things 100x worse. The game did have good voice acting tho and it does give you a map but there isn't a dot for example of where exactly you are https://youtu.be/OzRYX3PadUk
There’s something haunting about being alone on an island with only a broken lighthouse and silence as your guide. The game doesn’t rush you. It lets you breathe in the fog, listen to the distant sounds, and wonder what’s hiding in the dark. It’s not just about jumpscares — though there are a few — it’s more about that feeling that you’re never really alone. It’s not a perfect experience, but it sticks with you. The kind of game you think about even after you close it.
Played this game because it featured a lighthouse and I like lighthouse in general. Haha! Okay, other reasons are because it looks amazing and it reminds me of those adventure games like What Remains of Edith Finch, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter or Firewatch like you can explore around and interact with things and I was right. But at the end, even though I like how the game is, I couldn't see myself enjoying to play till the end when you really need to heavily depends on the map to navigate around the island which I'm bad in most of the time in adventure games. Not saying it's bad thing but not my thing but I know some people would prefer that. Even though the game is not my type of game, I would still recommend to those who likes horror adventure games without the game really holding your hand all the time and expect you to navigate around with just a map
Honestly, I didn’t expect The Hollow Lighthouse to be this atmospheric. The fog, the sound design, the feeling that something is always watching you it really pulls you in. The horror isn’t just jumpscares, it’s psychological. You feel alone on this dark island, and the more you explore, the more uneasy it gets. I liked the freedom of movement and how the story unfolds naturally as you explore. Some mechanics surprised me in a good way there’s more depth than you’d think for an indie horror.
Game play feels repetitive with constantly walking back and forth across the island with a map thatch difficult to use. I also ran into issues with controls (spent forever looking for fuel cans even though I tried to pick up the fuel cans on the beach 5 times, but only worked if I crouched and specific angle. Similar thing for the generator, the power button was extremely difficult to highlight took me 5 times alone.
Great entertaining game, fascinating plot with interesting ending. I recommend
This game really pulls you into the spooky vibe of a lonely island with a lighthouse at its center, wrapped in mystery. Super cool how the devs — especially being indie — managed to build something that’s not just about ticking off objectives, but actually feels atmospheric and immersive. The visuals? Straight-up stunning. The lighting and environment work are just top-notch. Even though the mechanics seem simple at first, they come together in a way that makes the whole world feel real and meaningful. If you’re into slow-burn mystery with a bit of spookiness — and you appreciate a good story with some killer visuals — give this one a shot. Totally worth it!!
Good, i like it!!!
Honestly I wasn't expecting much. This game definitely delivers. The island was eerie and lonely. Finding the fuses for the lighthouse was the most difficult part of the game, but did get you exploring the island. Having the option to get the gun in the game actually made it pretty fun fighting off the monsters. This game was awesome. Kudos to the Developer.
