For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Haunted Tunnel is a template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who keeps reskinning the same lame GameMaker Studio game templates and re-releasing it on Steam with a few minor changes. The GameMaker Studio templates he keeps re-releasing are just basic retro pixel (couldn't he rip off a template with proper graphics??) 2D top down/platformer stealth/action games. Here's some other results of his copy+paste school of "game development":

Haunted Jail: Alcatas
Ghost in the Barn House
Gaze at Maze
Smash Halloween Pumpkins: The Challenge
The Chills
Gregor Hills Haunted Hospital
Jaxon The Thief
House Number 666
My Haunted Doll
Axizon Labs: Zombies
The Haunted Exmone Theatre
Rescue Rina
The Haunted Tunnel
Heltons Haunted Hotel
Gaze At Maze
Ghost In The Barn House
Zack Y
Fight For Love
Captain: The Runner
Balloon Azuna
Christmas Cats Revenge
These are all basically the exact same GameMaker Studio game templates with a different skin and a couple of things changed. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, using a game construction kit requires no game development talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. No matter how many times this guy copy+pastes the same game, it's not suddenly going to become anything but garbage. Rehashing the same game over and over again is just a cheap nasty cash grab. While Anamik Majumdar occasionally breaks Valve guidelines for partners and attacks reviewers, any legitimacy he may have is eracticated by the way he pumps these copy+paste asset flips out and bulk sells keys to crapware bundle merchants like DailyIndieGame. It's also important to note Anamik Majumdar has denied using GameMaker Studio to make his asset flips, despite every single one being made with GameMaker Studio. It's unclear why Anamik Majumdar has been misleading about these templated cash grabs. As usual, my recommendation is to never give money to asset flippers and construction kit copy+paste cash grabs, so don't reward this one.

The Haunted Tunnel feels like another flip from Anamik Majumdar, who has a habit of reskinning the same basic GameMaker Studio templates and re-releasing them on Steam with a few minor tweaks. These templates are just simple retro pixel 2D top-down or platformer stealth/action games, and it’s frustrating that he keeps recycling them with little effort to improve or offer anything fresh. The graphics are basic and feel outdated, making it feel like a quick cash grab rather than a genuinely unique game. If you’ve played his other titles, you’ll probably notice the same patterns. There are better options out there if you're looking for something more original or polished.
The Haunted Tunnel is a compact indie horror title developed and published by Anamik Majumdar that takes a familiar urban legend concept and transforms it into a brief but engaging paranormal adventure. Built around the mystery of an abandoned subway tunnel rumored to be haunted after a devastating accident decades ago, the game places players in the role of a ghost investigator determined to uncover the truth hidden beneath layers of darkness and fear. While its modest scope is immediately apparent, the game succeeds in delivering an eerie atmosphere that keeps players curious from beginning to end. The narrative is one of the game's strongest assets. The abandoned tunnel has a tragic history tied to a fatal crash in the 1980s, and local stories about strange noises, ghostly apparitions, and supernatural sightings have turned the location into a place of legend. As players venture deeper into the underground passageways, they gradually uncover clues and evidence that suggest the haunting may be more than simple folklore. The story unfolds through exploration rather than lengthy exposition, creating a sense of mystery that fits the horror theme well. Gameplay focuses primarily on investigation and exploration. Players search through dark corridors, access forgotten control rooms, collect important items, and discover hidden locations scattered throughout the tunnel system. Keys, skulls, and other mysterious objects serve as progression tools while encouraging thorough examination of the environment. The mechanics are intentionally straightforward, making the game easy to understand and accessible to players who prefer atmosphere-driven horror over complex survival systems or demanding puzzles. The supernatural elements provide most of the excitement. Throughout the adventure, players encounter strange phenomena including poltergeist activity, ghostly visions, illusions, and hostile paranormal entities. These encounters help maintain tension and prevent exploration from becoming repetitive. The inclusion of spectral trains and other unusual manifestations adds personality to the setting and reinforces the feeling that the tunnel exists somewhere between reality and the supernatural. Rather than relying entirely on sudden jump scares, the game builds unease through anticipation and uncertainty. Visually, The Haunted Tunnel embraces a simple top-down presentation that reflects its indie origins. The graphics are not particularly advanced, but they effectively convey the isolation and gloom of an abandoned underground railway. Dimly lit passages, empty rooms, and eerie environmental details contribute to the unsettling atmosphere. The minimalist visual style allows the focus to remain on exploration and storytelling while maintaining a distinct retro-inspired charm. Sound design plays a vital role in enhancing the horror experience. Echoing noises, unsettling ambient effects, and paranormal audio cues create an environment where players constantly expect something frightening to happen. The game understands that horror is often more effective when it relies on suspense rather than constant action. As a result, even relatively quiet moments can feel tense as players move cautiously through the darkness. One of the most admirable aspects of the project is the dedication behind its creation. Much of the artwork, animation, programming, and design work was handled by a single developer, and that personal touch is evident throughout the experience. While the game does not possess the polish or depth of larger horror productions, it demonstrates a clear passion for supernatural storytelling and atmospheric game design. Its biggest limitation is its short duration. The entire experience can be completed in around thirty minutes, leaving little room for deeper character development, complex mechanics, or significant replay value. Players seeking a lengthy horror campaign may find the content somewhat limited. However, those looking for a concise paranormal mystery will likely appreciate its focused design and ability to tell a complete story within a short timeframe. Overall, The Haunted Tunnel delivers an entertaining bite-sized horror adventure that successfully combines urban legend storytelling, exploration, and supernatural encounters. Although its simple mechanics and brief runtime prevent it from reaching the heights of more ambitious horror games, it remains a worthwhile experience for fans of indie paranormal mysteries. Its atmospheric setting, intriguing premise, and genuine passion make it an enjoyable journey into the unknown. Rating: 6/10
