The Ghost of You

PLEASE NOTE: I actually have closer to 20 hours on this game!! An outstanding example of the amount of love, dedication, and effort within the WLW genre. The story is expansive, the characters are great, and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. If you like horror text RPGs, you should definitely pick this up. If you like games with strong, interesting characters, you should definitely pick this up. If you like games featuring WLW characters and want to support a couple of awesome devs, you should REALLY PICK THIS UP! I can't wait to start another playthrough and choose other options. My one gripe is the UI: After hours of reading, the pixel-based text gets a little hard on the eyes, so I ended up making my own mod of the game featuring a dark mode and different font. I hope the devs consider adding these options as well.

The Ghost Of You is an awesome well written adventure for anyone who loves reading like myself. As a few reviews have already said you can really see that this was a labour of love. The pacing is good and I very much enjoyed the amounts of emotionally charged choices that Libretto has to make. I also loved that there was so much backstory to each cast member and their families. I think if you are in the mood to lose yourself to an intense and gripping story then this is right for you. Really looking forward to future releases from these girls. Keep up the good work :) x

A great text-based game that completely surprised me. I didn't expect it to be as well-written, intense, and scary as it was. The beautiful music and sound effects definitely added to the experience.

Just finished my first playthrough in 13 hours and I've yet to see the other endings. The game is fantastically well-written, the ambiance is top-notch thanks to the many soundtracks and sound effects this game has. All the characters are great (yes, even the bad guys!) and it's hard not to care for them. If you're fond of horror adventure games then you're in for a ride !

A good text adventure game with an interesting all-female cast. The Ghost of You grabbed my attention from start to finish and even into the extra stories, helped by the well chosen music and sound cues. I never found the music distracting while reading, which is fitting considering music is an important part of the characters and the story. I'll be looking forward to any future releases by Noodletub!

Esse jogo. é. tão. BOM!!! Via de regra, não sou a maior fã de text-adventures, mas a robustez e a complexidade deste me surpreenderam de uma maneira muito positiva! Para se ter uma noção, meu primeiro playthrough durou em torno de dez horas (minha internet está ruim, o que me desconectou e fez com q a Steam ñ registrasse o tempo totalmente), depois das quais algumas cenas extras foram liberadas. E eu estou longe de ter conseguido todas! A quantidade de texto e de variações é realmente impressionante, bem como o uso inteligente de recursos de som e background, para compensar a falta de ilustrações (que, honestamente, para mim não fizeram falta nenhuma). Sobre a trama, se fosse para descrever esse game com poucas palavras, eu o faria com algo na linha de: Se Jogos Mortais tivesse motivações lésbicas. Ou seja, 10/10. Se você gosta de ler, não espera uma história super cabeça e acha que terror e romance podem se misturar muito bem, obrigada, dê uma chance para The Ghost of You. Talvez você se surpreenda!

Une nuit interminable dans un auditorium infernal : le concept est pas mal mais je m'en suis lassé bien avant la fin. L'ambiance pesante et horrifique est très bien restituée, avec des descriptions soignées de créatures grotesques ou de salles dévastées. L'intrigue globale essaie de bâtir quelque chose qui se tient mais, malgré un effort certain sur le backstory des personnages, ça tient plus du bric à brac qu'autre chose, avec une quinzaine de clichés du genre mélangés ensemble. Et surtout, c'est beaucoup trop long ! Impossible de se reposer uniquement sur l'atmosphère sur plus d'une dizaine d'heures, avec le même schéma Épreuve > Moment émotionnel entre les héroïnes > Épreuve > Moment émotionnel > etc... Il aurait fallu un mystère un peu mieux construit pour retenir l'attention, ou une dynamique qui évolue entres les personnages. C'est bien beau de coller des romances lesbiennes partout mais ça ne suffit pas~

As someone who loves to read, I greatly enjoyed this game. The story is engrossing, the characters are memorable, and the game makes very good use of music and sound effects to add to the atmosphere. Though the game lacks the large amount of visuals that visual novels have, the writing does a great job painting mental pictures and creating a chilling environment. If you enjoy reading and lesbian romances, this is a game I recommend checking out.

"The Ghost of You" has good writing, and the story quickly has you hooked with its twists and turns, but I seem to have hit every bad end I could find and eventually decided to cut my playthrough short. To me, it felt like certain situations that should be manageable result in a bad end anyway, restricting a successful playthrough to a narrow set of choices. It’s also worth noting that I played through the game a number of years back as well and recall having a similar experience, even if I can’t remember the specifics. But all in all, it’s absolutely worth a read. (7/10)
