About
Program a drone using a simple python-like language to fully automate various farming tasks that would otherwise be very grindy. Feel the satisfaction of simply pressing "execute" and watching your drone do all the hard work.
Unlike most programming games the game isn't divided into distinct levels that you have to complete but features a continuous progression.
Farming earns you resources which can be spent to unlock new technology.
Programming is done in a simple language similar to Python. The beginning of the game is designed to teach you all the basic programming concepts you will need by introducing them one at a time.
While it introduces everything that is relevant, it won't hold your hand when it comes to solving the various tasks in the game. You will have to figure those out for yourself, and that can be very challenging if you have never programmed before.
If you are an experienced programmer, you should be able to get through the early game very quickly and move on to the more complex tasks of the later game, which should still provide interesting challenges.
Although the programming language isn't exactly Python, it's similar enough that Python IntelliSense works well with it. All code is stored in .py files and can optionally be edited using external code editors like VS Code. When the "File Watcher" setting is enabled, the game automatically detects external changes.

Kaufempfehlung: 10/10.
goated game for learning programming fundamentals, especially python, perfect for math minded people who love learning and problem solving -- the skills map directly onto python even though its not perfect python programming; you'd easily upskill into python as a beginner playing this to a resonable level of completion!
...and they're coming for your automatable job next... >:D 1,000 times YES!!! PERFECT for anyone wanted to just play around with "code." literally shows you EXACTLY what to do and allows you to challenge yourself where you'd like with fun little gimmicks and quirky little tricks here and there. HIIIIGGHHLY recommended for ANYONE who wants to code, from a literal noob to a master hacker. While True: if person_wants_to_code(): play_game() else: play_game_anyway()
I really enjoyed this game. I think it has something to offer to either newcomer programmers (learning basic algorithms and the flow of the code, iterating on mistakes, multithreading) or experienced engineers (hyper-optimisation, having fun with the leaderboards and so on). The gameplay loop is straightforward and the enjoyment of it will depend mostly on how much you like writing and optimising code. Having a fair number of hours and all achievements, here's my more detailed feedback: The Good - The game has a friendly and helpful community - The dev updates the game and fixes bugs - You can use VSCode as an external editor - Progressing through the game and solving the puzzles feels rewarding - It has a very competent competitive scene The Meh - While you can use VSCode, you still have to (unfortunately) interact with the in-game UI sometimes to debug - The DSL of the game is a very small subset of python, missing a ton of quality of life features - It takes a ton of time to hyperoptimise some code for the leaderboards and the game's choice of measuring time and ticks is confusing, having spent a few evenings in the editor, some choices are still unclear to me. Luckily, it is only required if you plan to compete seriously in the leaderboards.
As a fan of both idlers and programming games, I've enjoyed this a lot. As far as idle games go, the pacing is pretty fast. As far as programming games go, I think the problems that it provides are in an interesting niche where there are both simpler "lazy" solutions that might be slower or less rewarding, as well as more complex solutions that are more rewarding. I've seen a few people wishing for a more fleshed-out IDE, but honestly I think the provided environment is fine. If you want something fancier, the game provides the tooling to use an external editor. It would be nice if the Python interpreter was a little more fleshed out, since it's missing some useful features (classes, *args, ternaries), but I don't fault them for it. I think the documentation is pretty well fleshed out, but I came into this with Python experience so I'm biased.
Really good game, helped me understand python concepts better
