It was decent a game. And I do recommend it.
I really enjoyed this game. The dialogue was just over the top & cheesy enough to be really enjoyable. I hope there's a sequel.
老美剧迷狂喜,确实玩起来很有欧美味道~so mean~艾玛还是我比较喜欢的类型,还有凯莉,妥妥的欧美大妞。但是怎么说呢,还是看你吃不吃的惯西餐了
So, I know what it looks like but I can explain. I don't hate the game, it's just there are more cons than pros, in terms of directing of course. Firstly I wanna get into the good parts that I liked about this project: - The acting was pretty great, all things considered. I loved AND prefer both the performances and the characters of Natalie Collins (Emma) and Ariel Yasmine (Parker) but the ones who stole in a way the attention were Céline Planata (Gigi) and Vanessa von Schwarz (Scarlett) playing the quirkiest, most awkward character and the most self-centric, egocentric, narcissistic character, respectively; - The premise and plot were intriguing but they could have been even better crafted than it was advertised but good overall (and the "reveal" of Damien of being an actual killer could have been done better. It felt rushed but I could have seen this being possible); - The soundtrack was great, each song fitting both the characters you are speaking to and the situation you are atm. Even the song when you go through the chapter select is interesting ( we're excluding the god awful, overdramatic song when you open up the game. Yeah, it fits the "dramatic" theme of the game, but it made me cringe all the time when I was trying to listen to it). Now for the drop-offs + probably? nitpicks I had while playing: - The dialogue between Johnathan (the MC) and the love interests is so freaking forced, like why does EVERY SINGLE WOMAN compliments him right away. I get if there were small compliments or just small "nicknames", like Kayleigh calling you honey but almost all the compliments just come out of nowhere; - I wished the female interests were more fleshed out in terms of their background and their personal lives (not that it's badly done like for example Emma, Parker or even Natasha for a bit) but I wish there was more time to spend with each character, get to know them and make them determine if their compliments were right, just to somewhat fix the issue above; - There are some long, and I mean LOOOONG pauses in some scenes where there could have been some actions done or probably there were some piece of dialogue cut out? IDK, I'm not a writer; - There's no "interactivity" with the world. Like for example in 5 Hearts Under 1 Roof (a game that I compared TFG:WtHW to a lot) the main protagonist of that game INTERACTS with objects, with people, you can see him USING HIS HANDS, you can see in some scenes HOW THE MC LOOKS. John just feels like a ghost, not having a physical body to interact with the world around him or to show a glimpse of it, in which FHUOR did better; - Why when we see new pieces of dialogue the others we've seen already are locked from the skip option as well? Again no issue in the game previously mentioned and it makes the grind to 100% each chapter annoying and painful, especially when it's quite long even though not in a good way; - Lily's character just comes out of nowhere. I can see the vision of a love interest outside of the Love of All Seasons crew but she's undeveloped. She's a way weaker version of Emma and she's done perfectly in comparison (best girl overall); - There could have been more ending variety and even more secret endings (probably it wasn't possible because of the budget restriction or something), like John or Scarlett dying during the scene footage with Damien, going out and be a family man with Emma or John dying during the coma/kidnapping scenes with Damien instead of just the two "secret" endings with Parker and Natasha and the "yes or no" ending from every single girl; - Some inconsistencies with the filming (three minor mistakes that I don't wanna say). Also, while watching the archive clips I heard Natalie Collins mentioning the public asking questions about the game and characters and Ariel Yasmine mentioning "what person did we choose" or something. It reminded me, again in 5 Hearts there were clips where clips with the actresses doing QnAs/ Would You Rather stuff it was pretty cute knowing the people behind the scenes a lot better. ALSO there should have been a "leaderboard" for us to vote which character we liked the most, just to see the community's general preference and to see how the cast reacts to it. Again, two things that could have been added. Such a missed opportunity. So, in conclusion, why a Korean series is better than an American project? Why the long essay? Well again, I'm deeply sorry. I don't hate TFG:WtHW, I don't hate the cast, the characters (well maybe Scarlett lol) and the direction it wants to go but I must be real. It has some clear issues, extremely clear. HOPEFULLY if the game does get a sequel in the future, then I'm praying that the issues mentioned above would be either completely fixed/reduced by a lot if possible. Good luck team.
good story game all actress can acting sountrack and voice is good / clear long game to explore to get achivement 10/10 my favorite emma, she is my type couple lover
好莱坞背景的恋爱互动电影游戏,整体剧情紧凑不拖沓,恰逢春促,24块钱可以让玩家感受到欧美女演员热情奔放,体验不一样的异域风情,还是值得玩一下的。
TLDR: If you want to enjoy a FMV in English, this is your best choice as far as I know. I played this game for ~13 hours, yet my Steam achievements are at 74% because I didn’t care to explore every single dialogue option, bad ending, etc. I just want to enjoy the fun stuff and I really loved this game. There is a lot of content hidden within the various routes. The different endings are driven by a combination of love points, acting points, and some special connection achievements. (There is one unlockable character.) It sounds a bit complicated, but you should find it dead simple after you make one run through the game. There are two hidden endings, both of which I thought were better than some of the regular good endings. There is a bit of fan service in the game: short skirts, plunging necklines, underwear, and so on. Not a lot, but enough to make things realistic for a movie industry setting. It is clear from the dialogue and actions that 18+ material takes place off screen. This FMV is written and acted in English and is night and day better than any Chinese or Korean FMV I’ve seen from an English language perspective. The acting is better, too. This game takes place during the filming of a soap opera, so all the acting is over dramatized. There is also more than a bit of humor tossed into some scenes when things go wrong. The game engine is quick and efficient, and the routes can be modified on the fly if you change your mind for a response. Navigation is easy. The soundtrack is nice too. Recommended.
For Parker <3
