Good game overall, its just the optimasition and the Hitboxes that are bad
"The Fallen" is what comes across as a developers first Unity kitbash... there is some degree of story here, but ultimately this is an incredibly weak ripoff of Dark Souls. It's clunky, imbalanced... at least it "works", but it's so unpolished it's unpleasant to play. Gameplay is just third person soulslike block/dodge/attack gameplay. It's a yawnfest. The game assets here look a lot better than the actual game they're assembled on... that doesn't mean this is necessarily an asset flip or a kitbash, because there's no proof. But what matters is that this has all the same terrible quality as asset flips, and at the end of the day that's one of the reasons people don't like asset flips, the quality is bad. That's a problem. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, the "free" price tag didn't help. This peaked at a handful of players and then immediately cratered. With a peak count of less than 50 gamers (out of over 130 million gamers and over 40 million daily logons), its safe to say the PC gaming community has collectively decided to ignore this, probably because of the reasons supplied in this review. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This isn't good enough for me to suggest PC gamers spend their time and hard drive space on. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam more worthy of your time.

this is coming from someone who has played ds 1 2 3 elden ring and sekiro shadows die. i understand this is a first time game but the enemies attack like 5 times as fast as u do there animations feel clunky at best. the only way to do damage is by parrying that dosent involve trading blows bc the doge dosent have i frames as far as i tryed. now to get to the parrying it also suffers from clunky animations and the timing for it is very small and comes out at the speed of light unlike the rest of your moves. then there r times when the lock on will just not work or lock off and i get it when the first boss tp into the mist it will toggle off but i have been mid combat with him and it will just switch off. now for the boss y is the first one have so much health compared to the health of his grunts and it just ramps up from like a 4 to an 8 on the difficulty and i u get hit by one of his moves he has a fallow up that almost one shots u. now this final one is minor but y cant u move and block at the same time and it dosent seem to turn when u r locked on as well. if u r meant to use it to learn your opponents move set y cant u do those things.
The final boss made me cream, 10/10

solid story & general gameplay, but mechanics are wildly inconsistent and fps drop pretty much when anything happens
Fun to play. A lot of charm. Some bugs but I thought they were kinda funny. Last boss is very zelda like. good game sh** mechanics sometimes but what can you do

The Fallen is game. The game has fallen. but what remains, inside myself?
