Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Fabulous Fear Machine takes an unusual approach to strategy by placing the player on the side responsible for creating paranoia rather than surviving it. Developed by Fictiorama Studios and published by AMC Games, it combines narrative strategy, resource management, card-inspired mechanics, and pulp horror into an experience centered on manipulating public perception. Instead of commanding armies or building a conventional empire, the objective is to spread frightening stories, exploit uncertainty, and gradually turn fear into a source of influence. Players assume the role of a newly appointed Master of the mysterious Fear Machine, a supernatural apparatus capable of helping its owner pursue ambitious desires. Its power is not free, however, and using it requires building an increasingly elaborate network of fear. The campaign follows different Masters with their own motivations and circumstances, giving the concept more narrative substance than a straightforward sandbox simulation. Their ambitions provide context for each operation while gradually revealing more about the Machine and the dangerous forces surrounding it. The most recognizable mechanic involves Legends, which function much like collectible strategic cards. There are more than 80 of these stories and manifestations to discover and deploy, including urban legends, supernatural creatures, conspiracy theories, and familiar pieces of folklore. Some are based on recognizable cultural fears, while others embrace the exaggerated absurdity of conspiracy fiction. The impressive variety helps reinforce the idea that practically anything can become frightening when presented to the right audience under the right circumstances. Simply deploying a Legend is not enough to guarantee success. Players must determine where particular stories are likely to flourish and create conditions that encourage people to believe them. Legends can be strengthened as their influence grows, making careful placement and development important. Watching an obscure rumor evolve into widespread panic is one of the game's most satisfying feedback loops. It transforms something as abstract as public anxiety into a readable strategy system without completely losing the disturbing implications of manipulating an entire population. Agents add another management layer. These operatives can be dispatched to different areas to collect resources, investigate opportunities, infiltrate locations, and perform assignments that support the larger campaign. Choosing where Agents should operate becomes increasingly important as multiple problems emerge simultaneously. Their activities also connect the strategic map to narrative events, preventing the experience from feeling like a purely mathematical exercise in filling meters. The game becomes more interesting when opposition begins interfering with established plans. Rivals and forces working against the Machine can weaken Legends or reshape public attitudes toward them. A once-terrifying story can potentially become harmless, commercialized, inspirational, or otherwise stripped of its ability to generate fear. This forces the player to react rather than endlessly repeat one successful strategy. Maintaining momentum therefore involves protecting established operations while identifying new opportunities for expansion. Its visual presentation deserves particular praise. The artwork draws heavily from vintage pulp horror, old comic books, sensationalist publications, and conspiracy magazines. Characters and Legends appear as dramatic illustrations that make every new discovery enjoyable to inspect. The style gives the game a distinctive personality without requiring technically extravagant graphics. Its interface also reinforces the feeling of managing an enormous collection of sinister stories from behind the scenes. Despite the colorful artwork, the subject matter can become quite dark. The game explores violence, social prejudice, terrorism, self-harm, disturbing supernatural imagery, implied sexual violence, drugs, and other mature themes. Much of this material appears through illustrations, descriptions, and narrative situations rather than realistic interactive violence. Nevertheless, the themes are deliberately uncomfortable because fear and exploitation are fundamental to the premise. There is also a strong satirical quality beneath the horror. Rumors become more powerful as people repeat them, media attention can amplify frightening narratives, and public perception can transform fiction into something strategically meaningful. The exaggerated supernatural framework allows the game to examine misinformation, sensationalism, conspiracy culture, and social manipulation without becoming a realistic political simulator. This underlying commentary gives its management mechanics additional meaning. Players expecting action-heavy horror should understand that this is fundamentally a thoughtful strategy experience. Progress depends more on planning, resource allocation, positioning, and understanding interconnected systems than quick reflexes. Some mechanics require time to fully understand, and the pacing can feel methodical when several operations are being prepared. Once the systems begin working together, however, there is considerable satisfaction in constructing an efficient chain of influence and watching fear spread across the map. Steam Deck compatibility is a more complicated matter. The game does not have the same confidence of an officially Steam Deck Verified experience, so handheld players should approach it as a title that may require some compromises. Its relatively modest 2D presentation is well suited to portable hardware from a performance standpoint, but interface navigation, text readability, and controls are more significant considerations than graphical demands. Players using a Steam Deck should therefore expect a potentially playable experience rather than assuming completely seamless native handheld optimization. Overall, The Fabulous Fear Machine stands apart because it commits fully to a strange but coherent idea. Its pulp artwork, extensive selection of Legends, narrative campaigns, Agents, resource management, and systems for manipulating public anxiety all support the same central fantasy. The deliberate pacing will not suit everyone, particularly those looking for conventional horror action, but strategy enthusiasts who enjoy experimentation and darkly humorous storytelling will find plenty to appreciate. It is creative, visually memorable, thematically unsettling, and refreshingly different from most management games. Rating: 8/10

Zeit Management Spiel. Mit düsterer Atmosphäre. Keine Ahnung was die Tags (Ausbruchssimulation) sollen.
Boy once this one got its hooks into me I could not put it down. One of the more creative games I've played in the last 5 years, too. Great writing, fun mechanics and every board is a new puzzle to solve. Plus, the art is so pulpy and wonderful.
如果想集齐卡牌,尽量在一周目完成,不然如果任务一就缺卡的话,二周目基本得重玩 建议二周目可以选择每一章的小关卡
Una experiencia más que interesante en estos tiempos.
太短了
Original concept, original artwork, original style. Worth the play, but keep in mind game is short and after you cleared the campaigns you have nothing left to do.
有特色的资源管理填色游戏,难度不高,不需要太专心运营,内容不长,属于玩腻大作的时候,可以尝尝的开胃小菜
