The Explorer of Night

I don't think anyone on Steam remembers a good old Game Maker game from 2003 named Seiklus, but somehow this game reminds me of it. Decent adventure platformer with tight boss fights and cartoon-ish (yet sometimes scary) feel.

Beyond the cute graphic, this game is a good adventure of a little cat that wants to find a flower to cure an incurable illness. The controls are really simple, relying mostly in the directionals and an action command, this plataformer is challenging in the good way, because the game has a very good learning curve, in which you will be learning to pass the obstacles in a few tries. It makes good use of the plataformer elements such as jumps, climbing, avoiding enemies, spikes, pits, items to be used in specific locations, caves, water, and others. Even though it is very simple, it is very relaxing and fun, the bossess are creative and a little bit hard. Would love to see more games :3 Premisse of the game is pure love <3

So while looking around for games to get i found this, sense i had some cash on hand i decided to pick it up due to it's cheap price, downloaded quite fast and i got to playing it as soon as i downloaded it. The game overall was pretty fun at first and got progressively harder as i went on, the difficulty curve felt pretty natural and i enjoyed the entire game from beginning to end. For bugs there was only one that got on my nerves, when you walk into a moving spring from the side it pushes you downwards, was quite annoying to just barely miss it then slam downwards and some edges that i could stand on that i wasn't supposed to, other than those two i found i saw no problems, for a game i bought on a whim this was extremely good and for it's price tag of 1.99 it was well worth it. I do hope that the Dev makes a sequel or some kind of continuation to this game, i had a great time with it and i would gladly get another installment if it was put out, and if it i at least enjoyed my time. The only thing i wish out of this game would be more content or some more levels, and some more music wouldn't hurt ether. Final score for this game: 8 Annoying one hit kill crows out of 10 cats with backpacks.

やさしめの避けアクションゲーム。ただしセーブまでが長い。 上方向でジャンプするので移動だけなら片手で出来るのでお手軽。 最初、登れるツタがわからなくて何回かやり直しましたし、針があることに気が付かなかったり[spoiler]蝙蝠に当たり判定があると思い込んでいたり[/spoiler]でなかなか苦戦しました。注意していないと発見しにくいので注意。 ギミックや敵も少ないながらも雰囲気づくりとしてはなかなかよかったんじゃないかと思います。 対応言語に日本語がないですが、最初と最後しか文章がないので英語がわからない人も安心してプレイできます。 短い作品ですが低価格です。気になったら遊んでみては？ [spoiler]強制上昇スクロール中の着地時に足場微上昇バグがあるので注意。最初のボスではしごが登り切れなかったことがありました。[/spoiler]

The artstyle is different but very meh and palette is boring. The music is very boring and hardly music in many areas. The gameplay does nothing new and has a lot of glitches. Hitboxes in the game are often larger than they appear resulting in stupid deaths and if you survive the hitboxes then good luck not clipping through the edge of a platform. The ai can be the most atrocious thing though because it feels extremely rng especially on bosses and several times on the last boss I was handed out forced deaths by the rng because the boss will break too many scrolling platforms and leave a gap you cannot jump and the stone spawn you need to hit him is rng too. There is an awful lot of levels with sections you will spend waiting for auto scrolling to do anything as well. For the dev I really think the number one thing that could improve your game is the music. I think some good examples of music that feel more like they would fit this game are from the night maps from "Risk of Rain" so go listen to Chris Christodoulou - Chanson d'Automne.. and also try listening to Chris Christodoulou - Coalescence

Гра про кота. Платформер з милою графікою, місцями доволі складний.

Enjoyable. The Controlls are ok, but you can't really change them and clicking up to jump feels wrong. The game feels really slow and has some unfair enemies. The boss fights are pretty fun and unique. There could be a lot more content tho and it would be amazing to have an upgrade like a double jump or a dash. Art style/ Game design: 5/10 Controlls: 7/10 enemies: 5/10 Price worth: 8/10 Overall: 6/10 PS: I need someone speedrunning this game against me :)

WORST JUMP MECHANIC EVER!! use "up" to jump is the worst mechanic ever!! And NOTHING appears to change that - the game don't accept changes in the steam controller!! FULL compatibility with controller MY ASS!!

Атмосферный платформер про кота. Коты и пиксели, что может быть лучше для олдскульной игры. :)

Милый платформер в интересной стилистике с приятным медитативным звуковым сопровождением. История о храбром котике, который ищет цветок, способный вылечить его сына. Игра протестирует вас на ловкость, реакцию и умение пользоваться шишечкой (в прямом смысле). Вас также ждут несколько большой боссов, у каждого из которых свой ряд особенностей, что делает игру разнообразной в плане тактики. Единственный минус для любителей хардкора будет вовсе не минусом: в игре чек-поинты есть только в начале уровня. За такую цену очень рекомендую. Любителям платформеров и котиков понравится!
