man this game is something else in a very good way
Finished on Steam Deck and it worked like a charm (except for main menu witch requires touch screen). I wonder why there are so little reviews of such a indie gem, which seems to be everywhere on YouTube. The setting is really unsettling and Maria Christensen did really a magnificent job with creating the art. You can really feel the dense atmosphere and despite I don’t Like how the story turned out I really admire how you can make such a huge build up with seemingly simple 2D game. Somehow it reminded me A boy and his blob on Wii. Looking forward for your next game guys.
It's best played in one sitting. The control are basic as it goes, however I do wish to have the ability to change at least one of the buttons. I'd want some more story talking place. It felt too small and short. Having more then one or actions haven an effect on the game-play and ending. The best part oaf the game is the aid after death. Not having to go and do everything from the checkpoint saves a lot of time and headache. Could use some bug fixes. The worst part being on my end, the game quits after the ending and when pressing ESC. Would recommend at a good price.
These guys are so underrated
I really want to praise this game. It has a fantastic story. The problem is the puzzles gradually transition from worthwhile challenge to annoyingly difficult. There's a room where a monster moves when the character moves in light. The problem is that the lights flicker so quickly that it is difficult to time it right. It the result is instantaneous death. It stops being enjoyable and becomes tediously boring. Maybe others will find this enjoyable, I did not.
Quite the fun horror game. Not as good perhaps as their later titles, but plenty to do, lots of story, and lots of little immersive elements involved. I felt the game made good use of a number of elements, such as the main character's condition, to add to the suspense and immersion. Price is pretty good, too. I got this game mostly because I've enjoyed their other titles, but it was definitely worth it on it's own, too.
One of my all time faves.
This game was so freaking fun to play, the world it's in especially was awesome, i was intrested all the way through! the facility feels super large even though its for the most part a linear path. theres obviously tons of secrets i missed on my first play through so i'll def have to replay it again. hands down great game!
this one's alright. seems like you need to replay it to find stuff for other endings, but the character moves so slow, dong a replay does not feel worth it.
Not playing this game is a crime, its so intense, the atmosphere and the story is really good. And the game is really cheap so why the ♥♥♥♥ not give it a try? Oh also i died 23 times :)
