An excellent stealth game with a lot of mechanics that are really well explained and presented in the first level. The first level was quite easy but I'm sure it will pick up the pace once I get deeper in. Love the mechanics so far and I'll update this review as I play more Update 1: Okay so I've played a bit more, here are some more thoughts. (Without spoilers because nobody likes spoilers) The good: - The mechanics are on point, in my opinion. I'm never bored, I'm never waiting, I always have multiple ways to tackle a problem and that's good. Means I can get creative - I never feel like the game is cheating me. Enemies only see you when they see you there is no "Oh the enemy saw you because they were supposed to". None of that, the rules are respected and that's good. - Atmosphere is on point. I feel hunted, I feel like pray, I feel vulnerable but at the same time, I don't feel like it's impossible. I feel like there's hope. So yeah good job on portraying what I, the player, am supposed to take out of this. - It controls well. Everything behaves as you'd expect it, the character behaves as you'd expect it, it's just on point. There is no difficulty introduced because the character is floaty or something stupid like that. Bad controls are not an aid for difficult gameplay, they are a hindrance to a good experience. - The tutorial is lovely. It doesn't feel hand-holdy and it doesn't feel like I'm doing a tutorial, but rather the beginning of my story, and that's to be appreciated The bad: - The graphics are pretty rough, this ain't no blockbuster AAA game but it does feel like it could do with some more polish. Functionally it's great but it could do with some more TLC. - The character... vibrates sometimes when walking? The framerate seems smooth yet the player object is shaky/jaggedy - I absolutely hate the map. It's about as useful as a napkin treasure map, but maybe that's just me. Overall, freaking great game and I really recommend it. I'm having loads of fun
I really wanted to like this game, but the AI is just too boring and unresponsive. On top of that, being able to see the vision cones of enemies, and being able to easily take them out (temporarily) with rocks just makes the game way too easy. Maybe it would've gotten better but I'm not patient enough to wade through more of the same. I was hoping for Darkwood levels of stress and fear but it just never happened. My main suggestion to the devs is do more showing and less telling. Let people figure out the mechanics through (gentle) trial and error.
I've played the game a lot in alpha, beta as well as release, I've tried going for all the achievements, but it was too tedious after a while. You can find my name at the beginning of the credits as a tester.
Short Version:
Good side: - great gameplay - great level design - good controls - good enough atmosphere Bad side: - badly presented story [no cutscenes except for the end] - no voice lines [breaks immersion][it could've easily been fixed for cheap] - badly optimized, to run the game a bit above 60 fps, it uses 80% of my gtx 1070ti It's worth it if you don't care about story and you want a nice 5-6h stealth game experience.

Long Version:
The gameplay is really polished, although making guards go in bear traps is really clunky if you do that by making the guard chasing you. The level design is extremely good, every map feels different and unique. The story is badly presented, no intro cutscene explaining why are you there, all the story notes just have too much in them, it almost feels like the game has no story, if you want a game with nice story, this is not for you. The atmosphere is great audio and visual wise, but 1 really important note, the game has no voice acting. no voice line when hunters see you or forget about you, this takes away a lot of the immersion. Before you say "but this is an indie game" I would like to remind you that it's literally just a few bucks to hire someone on fiverr or some other service for a few voice lines. The optimization has been done really poorly, if you don't have a medium-high end rig, you can't run it, which is really stupid Overall it's worth the 12$ in the current state,
although if the current problems were fixed and the game had a bit more replayability, I could easily see it as a 18-20$ game, the level design and gameplay are already great.
Had a lot of fun in the game even if its not something that I normally play. Got to the end of the game and enjoyed the ride, had quite a few laughs and scares along the way. You can play it stealthly or guns blazing, or I should say rocks blazing. I will replay the game just to hunt the achievements.
Even from the beginning, it captivates you, it leaves you an isolated and unknown feeling which is a great plus. And then comes stealth elements who make me what's more, a nice MGS vibe. A huge thumbs up for the devs and keep pushing forward with the project, you are on the right path.
For similar games follow:
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/ I accepted a review copy back when I thought I would have more time to play it. It’s decent mechanically and runs okay. The graphics seem to be adequate enough for the type of game that it is, that game type being a roguelike stealth survival game. You have to survive being hunted by multiple kinds of hunters who will employ different strategies. There are different areas and ways of hanging the situation you are in. Along the way you will find bits and pieces about a cult or a ritual and maybe you will discover why you were chosen. If you survive the night and escape the forest you will gain your freedom. I only agreed to try it because, usually, I only get given embarrassing hentai games to review. I was hoping something more normal would break the flow of shame and redeem my image a bit. But to be honest it was kinda boring.
Really good game. I like the stealth mechanics the developer put in this game. i ll play more and update my review accordingly.
Trying the pacifist way first. Should be the most rewarding :P
Great stealth game with some cool horror twists.
Late review, but since there's still only 18 total (as of writing), more opinions are needed. I really enjoyed the game, would love to see more games similar to this.
