The Echoes Below is a first-person psychological horror game set in an abandoned government bunker beneath the Appalachian forest.

The world exists only where sound reaches.

Every footstep, every pulse you send into the dark helps to understand the world around you. Silence gives nothing.

The facility has been sealed since 2013. Whatever remains has had a long time to listen.

Key Features

• See through sound. Every room, hallway, and object is revealed when you, or something else, makes noise. Footsteps, a whistle, a dropped object, even a faulty wire. Every sound helps you navigate a world where vision only lasts a moment.

• A notebook that remembers what you notice. Document objects, observations, and traces as you explore. What you choose to record shapes the conversations you have, and sometimes, the story you uncover.

• A voice that was here first. You're guided through the facility by someone who knew it long before you did. How much she shares depends on what you've found, what you've asked, and what you've been paying attention to.

• Environmental storytelling. Seven people worked in this facility. Piece together who they were through personal belongings, habits, documents, and the spaces they left behind. Pay attention.

• No monsters. There is nothing chasing you. This game is about presence, attention, and what it means to be truly listened to... and what that may cost you.
