I'm writing without spoilers. I played the original TDS before I played TDS: The Sun and the Moon.
My gameplay looked like this:
The beginning of the story was pleasant, but I have to admit that I approached the game rather reluctantly. My bad attitude quickly disappeared when I got to know the main characters. It was quite fun. About halfway through the story, it was surprisingly pleasant, when I visited new places and new characters (because I know what will happen in the next chronological game) and with increasing curiosity I learned about new situations. At the end - even though I knew how things would turn out - I couldn't tear myself away from the game! I was completely surprised by how much the story drew me in! And it drew me in so much that I'm now installing TDS to play it again <3
And here are some pros and cons why I don't/recommend PLAYING IT FIRST:
- no voice actors (after playing TDS with full sound, I felt disappointed playing this game) - no choices (a small minus, I understand, because it's a prequel, but on the other hand it reminded me too much of reading a picture book) + very surprising moments in the plot + a very nice story about the beginnings of TDS + a heartwarming story -/+ a lot of spoilers for the next game - not everyone likes spoilers, not everyone likes mysteries Personally, I'm glad I played TDS first. Every time in The Sun and the Moon there was an "AWWWW" or " T___T " reaction when this or that appeared or happened. But it took me a long time to get used to the lack of character voices. choose wisely °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
Only if I knew how much this game would make me cry. I swear to god it was the VerasXIllran cry ALL OVER AGAIN. I am shaking and trembling. I loved the DLC, it finished the story perfectly. I just think it could be already included in the original game(at least some scenes that would lead to why Lucius did all that), and it would fix the only aspect i felt lacking in the original that was exactly the lack of reason for the Villian. As always the art is breathtaking, the writing is perfect and the characters touch the reader deeply. Congrats once again Two and a Half Studios!
beautiful w/great writing, as expected, but way too short left me wanting so much more of the characters and the content definitely a must buy if you're already invested in the main game
too many emotional rollercoaster ngl T^T rating 9/10!
<3 10/10
i LOVE this game, it made me really sad but i still love it, i never played the "first" one, though i will, but i definitely suggest the game and i love the games created by two and a half studios
Good game.
A wunderful prequel to the Divine Speaker. I wished there was more about the life of the Prince with Nia and how they got to have little Raen. Nontheless i loved the story so much and it helped to understand how all came to be. It even made me cry for the tragedy that happened to all of them. Very well written - i wish there was more ...
I CRIED!! Amazing story telling!!
I am devastated. I knew it would be sad, but oh my lord did I not expect to feel THIS miserable T_T It definitely explains a lot from the main game and makes everything so much more meaningful, as I barely paid attention to these two back then. 100% recommend, but strictly after playing the main game.
