Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

https://youtu.be/PQpABirmxu0 Despite the basic gameplay being pretty strait forward the narrative trappings of a director's commentary is worth more than a few laughs.

It was fun to revisit this game a decade later after I originally played it at release, it still totally holds up. The game still has one of my all-time favorite framing devices for a game, with the whole conceit being the experience is a 1970s sci-fi B-movie with director's commentary running over it. It's equal parts silly, funny, and charming. Gameplay-wise, it is a totally serviceable beat 'em up, but the game is absolutely elevated by the visual style and commentary track. The creature designs (strings and all!) do a great job of looking like low budget practical effects & costumes, and the stop motion animation on them is top-notch. The overall level design is novel as well, with it truly being one giant vertical tower that you are progressing up throughout the experience. The game encourages you to fling yourself off and explore to find a lot of the hidden collectibles and fun Easter eggs; you can instantly teleport back to solid ground with the press of a button, and there's a ton of checkpoints that you can fast travel between as well. Definitely one of my favs in the ACE Team catalog; it's a super unique experience that doesn't outstay its welcome.
Charming, humorous, a bit strange, but quite fun. Had a pretty good time with this game, I love the style.
8.5/10 This is a great little game. A Gem from ACE. There isnt much negative I can say about this game. Its not that challenging, plays well, and has a great humour to it. One of the best that ACE has put out. It even has coop. idk why there isnt much to coop with this game, but this allows for a family event. parents can play with children easily. There is some PG13 language in a conversation about Richard missile and exploring Uranus and black holes, its rather tame but lewd; there are far worse out there claiming to be less. Dont let this shy you away from this. It is worth every penny.
underrated game. Super funny, lots of fun little secrets.
Thought I reviewed this already. Oh well, SUPER DUPER FUN GAME! That's really all you need to know. Price is worth it, and it even has local split screen coop!
Great Game Just the right amount of stupid in a 7th Gen package
This is very entertaining. I love it.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters is an action-adventure title developed by ACE Team and published by SEGA that succeeds by turning the charm of vintage science-fiction films into an entertaining interactive experience. Instead of taking itself seriously, the game fully embraces the campy style of classic B-movies, complete with over-the-top heroes, eccentric villains, giant monsters, and deliberately cheesy special effects. What truly distinguishes it from other action games is its framing as a fictional restored cult movie, accompanied by a humorous director's commentary that plays throughout the adventure. This running commentary frequently breaks the fourth wall, offering amusing anecdotes about imaginary production problems, budget limitations, and filmmaking tricks that make the journey feel like watching an old science-fiction film with behind-the-scenes extras. The result is a refreshingly original experience that combines comedy and action without sacrificing either. The adventure begins when legendary space explorer ♥♥♥♥ Starspeed crash-lands on the hostile planet of Gravoria. While searching for a way home, he encounters Scarlet Nova, the courageous daughter of the world's ruthless ruler, who has chosen to fight against her own father's oppressive regime. They are later joined by Robot, ♥♥♥♥'s dependable mechanical companion, and together the trio sets out to climb the mysterious tower that dominates the planet. Although the narrative intentionally borrows familiar pulp science-fiction themes involving evil emperors, strange civilizations, towering monsters, and daring heroes, it uses these classic ideas with affection rather than parody alone. Every story beat feels like a tribute to old adventure serials, while the entertaining commentary constantly adds another layer of personality by pretending that every dramatic moment was created using inexpensive movie props and practical effects. Gameplay focuses on steadily ascending the massive tower while overcoming increasingly dangerous enemies, environmental hazards, and memorable boss encounters. Players alternate between the three protagonists, each possessing their own distinctive weapons and combat abilities that encourage different approaches to battle. The arsenal includes futuristic firearms, swords, laser-based equipment, and special gadgets that expand combat options beyond simple attacks. Hidden throughout the levels are valuable scrap materials used to unlock permanent upgrades, rewarding players who take the time to explore instead of rushing directly toward the next objective. New powers such as time manipulation, movement enhancements, and explosive abilities gradually expand the gameplay, ensuring that the adventure introduces fresh mechanics at a satisfying pace. While combat remains accessible, the variety of enemy designs and level layouts keeps encounters enjoyable throughout the climb. Visually, The Deadly Tower of Monsters is one of the most distinctive games in its genre. Its environments resemble handcrafted movie sets, while monsters are animated to imitate classic stop-motion effects that immediately evoke the spirit of vintage creature features. Every location embraces colorful retro-futuristic designs filled with oversized props, elaborate alien architecture, and wonderfully theatrical set pieces. This artistic direction creates an atmosphere unlike most modern action games, successfully capturing the feeling of experiencing a beloved science-fiction classic from decades past. The soundtrack complements the presentation with adventurous orchestral themes, while exaggerated sound effects and dramatic performances reinforce the intentionally campy tone. Even during intense battles, the game never loses sight of its playful identity, making every chapter consistently entertaining. Beyond its creative presentation, the game delivers a satisfying action experience supported by responsive controls, rewarding exploration, and well-paced progression. The relatively concise campaign works to its advantage by introducing new environments, enemies, and gameplay ideas before repetition becomes an issue. Although a few platforming sections can occasionally be affected by camera positioning and certain combat encounters may feel slightly repetitive toward the latter stages, these are relatively small shortcomings compared to everything the game accomplishes. Its combination of inventive storytelling, enjoyable combat, memorable characters, and constantly evolving gameplay creates an experience that remains engaging from beginning to end. The Deadly Tower of Monsters stands as an excellent example of how originality and personality can elevate familiar gameplay concepts. ACE Team successfully blends action, humor, exploration, and nostalgic science-fiction into a cohesive adventure that feels unlike almost anything else available. Players looking for a game filled with charm, creativity, and a genuine appreciation for classic monster movies will find plenty to enjoy during the climb to the tower's summit. While it may not be the longest action-adventure available, its imaginative presentation, entertaining mechanics, and consistently clever sense of humor leave a lasting impression that easily outweighs its minor flaws.
