A nice card game with a creative story.

Enjoying the world building. The characters are diverse and fun. You can make choices which affect who you can romance in the end (chaos or order). Overall I recommend it to fans of Visual Novels and good card games!

There are some good things in this game. Graphics are gorgeous, a lot of romance options, two protagonists with 3 different appearance variations, card game can get pretty fun and the concept for the story is pretty interesting. But unfortunately, there are too many not-so-good things for me to recommend this game. The stories (both main plot and character's arcs) are hollow and rushed with unsatisfying conclusion; the characters are shallow and also boring/annoying; the card game can get very tedious; you have to see every character's story to reach the ending, which means MC flirts with everyone (no choice about that) - even the characters you don't like; the romance is more like a small fling in the end - don't expect tension or natural progression, they meet up several times and then they smash (and the smut is short, cringy and pretty badly written). And the price is way too high for this quality. So, no, I don't recommend this game. Unless it's on a 50+% sale and you really want to hunt down some smutty (and again - really pretty) CGs.

!!! Gra w toku. Uaktualnię recenzje po zakończeniu gry. !!! Póki co jestem zadowolona z zakupu. Zarówno bohaterowie i fabuła są ciekawi. Muzyka i grafika jak zwykle są na wysokim poziomie. Jednak nie spodobał mi system bitewny. Wolałabym system z poprzednich gier (bardziej w stylu rpg, a nie jakiegoś Hearthstone). W dodatku sama gra informuje gracza, że czasami wynik walki zależy od farta XD Drugą rzeczą która mi się nie spodobała to podział na chaos i porządek (musisz wybrać stronę, części kompanów nigdy nie rekrutujesz, nie będziesz mógł z nimi romansować). Poprzednie gry nie wymuszały na mnie podwójnego przejścia całości by poznać całą historie towarzyszy i zaprzyjaźnić się ze wszystkimi kompanami. Mogłeś romansować z całą drużyną by pod koniec wybrać tą/tego jedynego. I to był urok tych gier. Wiem, że ma to sens z powodu fabuły, ale to okropne. Historia jest liniowa, system walki mnie odtrąca więć powtórne przechodzenie gry byłoby dla mnie męczarnią. Jednak! Gra posiada oprócz standardowego modu z walkami, tryb visual novel co jest ogromnym plusem :) Polecam zakup wszystkim fanom visual novel, dobrych historii, romansów i gier karcianych. Oni na pewno pokochają The Curse Of Mantras. Fanom RPG polecam inne gry tego studia np. The Cursed Lands bo od tej sie odbiją.

Beautiful fantasy after-life visual novel and card game. Collecting, uptading cards, and forming decks to battle on a card game based in turns fowards the story as much as choices in dialogue. Very fun and overall well written game, athough it would benefit of a proofreading in some parts, specially concerning Mantra's pronouns. The CGs are gorgeous and the soundtrack has hauntingly beautiful tunes. The most moving Winter Wolves' visual novel I have played so far, and with the most beautiful soundtrack! My favourite characters and love interests (because in this game we get to see them as both protagonists, through their memories, and as love interests to Lily and Ace– although I have only played as Lily) are Izeria, Angel, Kraken, Gambarron, and Cyberia, but I love them all! My favourite backgorund storie is Gambarron. izeria and Cyberia tie second place. But all of them are great, talking about themes like sacrifice, love and loss. Although the card game is really fun, I recommend you also read the game in visual novel mode to appreciat ethe narrative in it's full beauty. It's clear from the narraive that this is a recent Winter Wolves game, that touchs themes such as the pandemic, in backgound stories I will not spoil in this commentary. It is also one of the studio's more mature and touching novels. Highly recommended!
