Purchased and downloaded, game crashed every time I tried to launch it. Since it apparently continued to "run" in the background even though I couldn't play it, it registered as being played for several hours while we played jackbox party games instead. Since it registered as time played steam wouldn't refund the purchase for me. $5 wasted on a POS that won't run
This is definately one of the best performing game collections that uses your phone as a controller. Very responsive and worked on all four of the devices that I tested it on. The games themselves are a pretty broad selection. Everything from a group shoot em up, to astroid destroyer arena, to endless runner style games. There's a little bit of something for everyone in your group that they should be pretty good at. Which is what you need when you have a big party full of people all battling it out on one system. Overall I thought this was a really strong contender for the party game collection genre. My only thoughts were that some of the graphics in a few of the games looked like they could do with an upgrade, once or twice the controls can get a little derpy. But those are pretty minor and easily fixed while the game is in early access. So I would thoroughly recommend it. Finally a funny little party game easy usable and open for any mobile user. My friends and me often had the problems that we cannot play curtain games because their restricted to current mobile platforms mostly Adnroid or IOS. And now we have a good game that we quickly play together. What even greater is this game has an AI so you can play alone while having none of your friends around. What can I say about the Minigames: A few one are copys to and not new in this world but thats not much of problem. They are all fun. Graphics and music are good and enjoyable while playing and some of the achievements are hard to get. I wish this game a great early access and development and hope for nice updates in the future.
DAMN!!! must play up to 5 player for fun and blame for misclicked boost lol responsive game and unique because use smartphone for controller 8/10
Doesnt boot. Got achievements 4 no reason. Ran in background and racked up loads of hours. Anyone know how to fix? I would love to play it with my friends. :(
This party game pack is amazing and I'm genuinely surprised more people haven't discovered this gem yet. The controllers worked flawless on any device we played with, and with offline multiplayer you can literally play these games anywhere without an internet connection. The more people you can get to join the more fun you're gonna have There are a few grammar and spelling errors but who cares. I really hope that more mini-games get added in the future. our favorite gamez top 3: 1. Jumpz 2. Curvez 3. Geoz
Laggy controls that are hard to use because they change between the different minigames. Games are poor copies of popular free .io type games. Graphics suck. One of the minigames doesn't even have animation-- it looks like some kids school project.
I have played several games which use smartphones as controllers and I can honestly say that of all the games I tried Crowded had the most responsive and best user experience for me. The setup is quite easy (You just have to connect the smartphones to the same wifi as the computer your run Crowded on) Most of the games in the collection are not new concepts but they are fun to play with friends. In my group of friends we have already played the game for quite some time (since release and when it was still in early development). We often had the problem that other games or the Wii only support up to 4 or 5 players, which is simply not enough for us. When we get together we often play it for an hour or so, before we do something else again. In my opinion it is like a casual party game. Some of the people who read this might be bothered by the fact that I did receive a free key by the developer, and my review might not be objective. Yes I write this review to help the game, but I have not written anything I do not stand behind and this review is not included in the user rating calculation.
Really fun, minimalistic party games. You connect your phone via Wi-Fi to use as a controller. Connecting was fast and the response is actually pretty good. I wasn't able to test how it works with multiple devices, if that works as good as single player this might actually be really fun and easy to play at parties.
I loved the idea behind this game. But the quality of the product is beyond bad. I wasn't able to play it. First it crashed every time right after the start. Someone pointed out in the steam forum, that you must enable sound in the ugly java menu after startup to prevent this freeze error. This worked. BUT, then the game was not reachable through all of our smartphones. We tried different WIFI's and even set up hotspots on our phones. No success... So it's a clear refund. One more thing. The game is completly missing a menu. If you hit ESC key the game closes, but is still running in the background (somewhere, where not even taskmanager finds it). I develope games myself. You can't charge any money for such bad quality.
