Once upon a time, there was a poor boy named Hans who lived with his mother near the woods. On his birthday, the boy had no presents nor sweets. He got so upset he decided to leave home for good. Before he left, his mother gave him his grandfather's cane, some cheese and three pieces of gold. Hans walked into the forest in search of adventure. Soon it was night and the boy was really scared, so he tried to go back. But then, a quaint kobold happened to cross his path and Hans decided to follow him to a castle. The kobold told him he would inherit great wealth if he passed a simple trial... guessing his name. Trapped in the castle, Hans will live a spooky mystery, fantasy and horror adventure to become the new Count Lucanor.

Lowkenuinely, one of the best uses of 7 bucks I ever spent. I saw this game pop up in a bundle attached with Yuppie Psycho and I don't regret just saying "♥♥♥♥ it, I ball". The game was shorter than Yuppie Psycho but they did not hesitate to deliver quality despite a shorter quantity. This game was terrifying, to say the least, but I'm pretty bad with horror games to begin with. But, I do think i womanned up to the challenge because the story, the art, actually just every aspect of this game was so compelling and engulfing I knew I had to lock in and see it to the end. I totally recommend this game (not sponsored or compensated for)! I think if I were to describe it, it would be most similar to Yuppie Psycho but that is also another game by the same developer so I would just say like, Deltarune/Undertale but horror/gore and a risk of peeing your pants. The pixel animation was super cool and so well down, the woman was too stunned to speak and mostly was just intaking every second of it in admiration. But yeah, spend your money or don't I think it's a good investment and I sincerely can not wait to play another run of this game despite knowing the ending of the story. It's just that good fr, I wanna know what happens if I'm a generous queen to the random NPC's, yknow? I think the most terrifying part of this game was when I was playing it on stream and my husband did his Corbin impression :T
teeny-tiny game that i shouldn't have postponed finishing for literal years when it took me a mere night to complete. it's a fairly simple story but i still detect layers to peel away if you feel like it. personally foresaw a fair deal of twists right off the bat, which is exactly the incentive i needed to want to examine how it plays into why events present themselves the way they do to the protagonist. unexpectedly strong for the developer's earliest endeavour, the makings of what Yuppie Psycho turned out to be are abound in the Count Lucanor too. loved the gameplay for a change, felt complementary to the narrative i feel like foregoing the 1-10 scale but this is an eight at the veeery least! 8/10
Super game!! Although I was a bit pissed by the level of some enemies it was still a fun game ( I was pissed because I wanted to get every achievements) Still if you're not fan of gore representations might not be what you want
