Devs broke their game in a previous update. I use a WMR Lenovo Explorer headset. The game worked fine for months. Now it does not. If you don't use WMR, you may have better luck getting the game to play.
I guess this review is more aimed at the developers really. (To the players, just get it, no question about it, it's just fun... and stressful... but more fun. :-) (and hopefully the dev's make it even better over time) Okay, so it's an early access game, fair enough, what I really hope to see is that they replicate the 2D version where you can go to various establishments and cook various meals, as it does become repetitive after a while (Burger/Hot Dog/Fries). This feels more like an internal tech demo. ( Please don't see this as a bad thing, as the devs have obviously spent a considerable amount of time on the title, I just think it could be better with some more polishing. I believe that most, if not all the mechanics are there to do it, it's just a matter of creating more food models, and maybe some minor tweaks to the interaction (If any) to feel like it's a properly fleshed out game. What I'd also like to see is a sort of more relaxing mode for kids (Where they can just make stuff without the super strict time pressure as the game does feel like it's rushing you from the second you start (I reckon this will help kids become familiar where things are while slowly and progressively increasing pace and difficulty without the "feeling of failure" when they first start playing... (Like the 2D version starts off) It has a slow "build-up" period before everything feels like it's "overwhelming") I think Job simulator does this quite well. (And the cooking game (2D)) (But honestly speaking, I'd rather be in this (Cooking Game VR) kitchen than the Job simulator kitchen, this one "feels" much better (while we're on the topic of kids - The ability to set the counter height slightly lower would be great) To the devs, if you can replicate the 2D version, I reckon this will be a fantastic completed game. Shameless plug to the developers... (If you're needing, or would like someone to help develop some 3D models, I'd be happy to help out for free as I'd love to see this title be all it can be. (The 2D version of 'the cooking game', in VR) Contact me if you're keen.
My wife really love this game a lot... So i love this game a lot good job looking forward to updates like ketchup and such
Post Traumatic Stress Simulator
Great game, good for the grandkids. Needs an in-game height adjustment.
Doesn't work with the index controllers. No tracking or button response in game
This game hasn't been updated since 2018 DON'T BUY i'm 5'3 and can barley reach the top of the counter. No height adjustments.
I've been waiting for this my whole life! how great that now I can share my skills and cook gourmet meals for my guests. My specialty “sizzling hotdogs” or “pizzas in a traditional oven” are great !!! Great. You won't get poisoned, don't get your hopes up. You'll just die. Don't worry! I actually like to cook. I do it sometimes. But even more than that, I love to laugh. That's why we're talking about TCG VR right now! It's basically a competitor to Cooking Simulator VR, but with its own differences and features. Please don't compare the two. Here you take responsibility not only for cooking, but also for serving, as well as on your shoulders falls organizational duties and management of the whole restaurant. Sometimes, I feel an overload of responsibilities. However, the humor and emotions that I received during the game - smooths out this disadvantage. If you want to focus only on the kitchen and cooking, I would look towards the popular competitor. there are less recipes and dishes, but more administrative tasks and jokes yeaaaahhhh ***Some advice: PLEASE be careful of hungry birds. Hungry birds are capable of different actions lol
For being an early access game it is pretty good, game mechanics are good, u can smash the plates if your too rough and frantic which is a kool feature. Kid spent hours on it. She likes competing against the other chef.
Мне понравилась игра, графика простовата, но это совершенно не мешает. Захватывает, интересно играть, могла бы часами играть, но устаю долго стоять.
