The Cooking Game VR

Although a decently fun game I would have to recommend that you stay away from it. Its been in early access for several years and the last update has been in Oct 2018. This game is dead and its obvious the developers have given up on actually fixing any of the many bugs in the game. Looks like it will never actually get released. They once again took your money and ran. Steam should force a developer which receives payment for early access games to actually complete them in a specific time. Developers are using early access to get money for buggy games with no intention on every completing them. Its a rip off!

Bought this game for my daughter. She was too short to do anything and the game doesn't have adjustable height. You should probably mention that somewhere before selling the game.

Others have mentioned this. The height is not adjustable. Unless you're 6 feet tall, you're too short for this game. Disapointing.

While it does seem that some updates were made (plates don't seem to break anymore when you throw them), this game is so out-dated it's almost laughable. Do you want a room-scale game with no locomotion or turning? This is the game for you. Do you like simple VR mechanics that are one step above pure point and click? Then this game is for you. Do you want simple gameplay with little depth? This game got that for you. Do you like in-game settings in your game? Forget about that here. You just head right into gameplay. No tutorial, no nothing. Just straight into gameplay! Just place the patty in the pan and watch it cook by itself. Do everything with your hands. You don't need kitchen utensils like a spatula! Yeah, it's a pretty dumb game. Customers have numbers on top of them. They show a pictograph of their order. Then you toss the plate over with the order in the correct numbered spot. Just keep doing that until it's over. I wanted to quit after about 10-15 minutes. Then uninstall the game. Hopefully never play it again. And that is exactly what I did. See you can make a pretty honest & detailed review in about the same time it took you to play the darn game. The play scale is off and inability to adjust height means that my shorter friends were unable to reach the menu options making the game impossible to play

I think I should've read up on this game before I purchased it. I was looking for a fun, laid back cooking experience, but what I got was a chaotic rush of uninvolved cooking mechanics, demanding voices, and questionable physics. if you drop your plate onto the counter in preparation for a burger or hot dog an inch higher than you should've, you break the plate. if you put bread down on a plate at all too hard, you once again shatter the plate. I really can't recommend this game.

is a fun game though lots of clitch's items leap to the trey next to the one you are putting it on view set up is not existent and steam vr set up doesn't help at all usually makes it worse so my view and position have to change and i end up hitting something. Hands like to do their own thing once in a while. and it wants me to stand in a wall needs an in game view reset think most of the problem is steam vr

The game itself is quite alright, but it's pretty barebones. The devs seem to have abandoned it, so don't get it unless it's like 70% off (like it is at the time of this review)

Do not buy this game. Horrible game controls. No options to move the characters position. Not much freedom in this game for picking up stuff. Boring game. DON'T BUY!!!
