The Christmas Spirit: Journey Before Christmas Collector's Edition

Update: Finished the game, as well as the bonus game. I missed only 1 coin. Found everything else :D Was a fantastic adventure! I do recommend this for the holidays. Weird bc I had so much time already in it but it needed an update (which they don't seem to provide any details of) and after the update I had issues. Antivirus just ran and my system came up clean but I had allowed that game file so hopefully it truly is still safe. Hopefully the devs and publishers will contact McAfee if they haven't yet. It's really cute and colorful. I also just learned the coins you collect, you use to spend to decorate a Christmas Scene. They filled it with a lot of interesting things that I didn't expect. 3 things to find instead of one.. (collections) I haven't had a lot of time in it yet. It's mainly for "bedtime" play.. Something slow and a point and click. SteamLink capable :) I love using Steam Link to play some of my Point & Click games & Hidden Object games. I turn off the directional and I turn on direct cursor. :D I loved the Christmas feel and look forward to more game play tonight when getting ready for bed :) The music was catchy. Had a Holiday feel to it. I need to feel the spirit of Christmas this year better than last (lost my mom, every holiday is difficult now) and I feel a bit of a tug on my heart with this game. I like that inspiration! ♥ Please note I may be more forgiving than some on my expectations ... And on some other things perhaps less forgiving? I also have a lot of big fish games on iOS so it's as expected for me, plus a bit more :) Summary: So far.... Yes ♥ ↨ ♥ If my hours continue to increase, then it was good :)

Didn't take too long to beat this game (3.5 hours or so), but you might be able to stretch this out to 5 or 6 hours. Not a particularly long game either way. Having come from Mystery Case Files (the earlier ones not the later ones), I was expecting a Hidden Object game, but while there is some hidden object gameplay here, it's relatively sparse in comparison to MCF, and nothing too difficult. The puzzles are not particularly hard either. Otherwise, you're mainly just running around trying to collect items and use them elsewhere in order to get more items. Don't expect anything too special here. The game graphics themselves look crisp enough, although the cutscenes are lower quality. It was an overall ok experience for the 3.5 hours, but it was not difficult at all. I would give this somewhere between a meh to an ok rating for the price, given that every Big Fish game is priced the same. In summary, not a great hidden object game (which to be fair is expected, it's not listed in the tags as one) and a fairly easy game at that. I bought it for the Christmas spirit and I got enough enjoyment out of it for the price I paid. Don't have too high expectations and it's an enjoyable enough casual experience for an afternoon or something.

A great Christmas hog put out for this year. As expected a cute story, great artwork and a festive soundtrack. The main game is about just over 2 hours (have not played the bonus content yet). A great game to put you in the Christmas spirit, Also a fun Christmas game for younger children too that enjoy a festive story with a expected happy ending.

Bug in the end of the game, cant finish so this is crap. :D

So.... You are a little doll that fell from Santa's pack. And you really want to make a little girl happy. So this is about how you do that. Of course, it won't be easy. Especially with a few elves being a bit cranky. Decent game, nice plot. Recommend.

Such a fun HOP game to play, with lots of different, out of the ordinary minigames to enjoy through the story & bonus content. A long game too, compared to most HOPs. There are achievements inside the game to complete, that don't appear here in Steam. The music is lovely.
