Contradictory to my recommendation, for this game, I DO NOT recommend it at this time! However... It's a very fair price and I WILL REPURCHASE THIS GAME QUICKLY, if there are frequent updates! I respect the developer for *single-handedly* creating this VERY CUTE monster collector + idler. I've actually never heard of a game that combines both of these, throwing in a Stardew Valley mix! The core gameplay is sort of fun but here is what needs improved before I ever wish to play this game again (with some positives first): PROS: 1) Cute game! 2) Idler + Monster Collecting genre mixed with Stardew Valley graphics/gameplay 3) SINGLE DEVELOPER! WOW! (Also abiding to Stardew!) 4) Great concept CONS: 1) Audio is WAY too quiet, even at max volume. This is not a huge deal, but it's annoying turning my computer to a high volume, due to other sounds that might jumpscare me! 2) The gameplay is a bit too slow for an idler 3) It's annoying not being able to have much controls over anything 4) Needs fullscreen VERY badly (can't even fix this with advanced launch options!) 5) Clicking on the chickens can get really annoying, really fast, because of how they zoom into a menu, and take away from where you actually are, by zooming you to a different location... speaking of zooming... 6) Lack of zoom control. At times, it's very hard to see what you're doing, especially at a later point in the game! Sometimes there are buildings all over the place and it's too zoomed in! 7) Core concept is not too great, should've been released in EA! 8) Needs a lot more items to be able to keep the gameplay fresher CONCLUSION: Despite a lot of my cons, give this dev a chance, they really deserve it for creating this by themselves! If the developer will continue to update this game and support it, along with some, if not ALL of my ideas, I will definitely be going back to this game. At the time, I just can't bring myself to play anymore and that is the reasoning for my refund.
From what I have played of this game so far, it seems pretty fun. It reminds me of a lot of an idle clicker game mixed with Zoo Tycoon, with the graphical style of Stardew Valley. It is obviously a labor of love, and a lot of personality was put into this game. That being said, this game is not perfect, and could be greatly improved by streamlining the UI and decreasing the wait times for farms. It would also help to add the ability to auto-collect coins from the chickens. Get this game if you are looking for a casual idle game with a farming theme.
This game is super fun! I just can't stop playing it. The art and music are beautiful. W game. Very good, Cowafied
This is one of the best games I've ever played I love this game and I plan on playing hours and hours into the game.
fun game. it doubled my faith in humanity
This game just came out, was made by a single person and can tell it was a passion project. I backed it when it was in the kickstarter phase. from what I have played, it is fun. Even though it does not say, it works pretty good on a steamdeck. My only problem right now, which could be just a steamdeck issue, is it is not saving where i left off. I have to restart and play through the tutorial which is a little annoying... Tomorrow I will find out if it is a SD problem or a game problem... But have not given up on the game, it is fun... EDIT #1 So it is just the SteamDeck! On PC it has no problem saving where you left off, I also figured out how to save on the SD, you have to go to the main menu THEN exit the game :) Edit #2 I had high hopes for this game, but at the moment I get so far, then the game decides to prevent me from going to the store and also prevents me from editing or deleting my fences. I contacted the developer, who is very nice. But at the moment, do not recommend this game due to no being able to move forward after a certain point. It was fun though when I could do things...
incredibly long tutorial that forces you to literally wait three minutes without looking at anything else in the UI, and locks up if you click off of the chicken coop while trying to breed them. not good.
Broken beyond repair. The tutorial is full of bugs that force you to restart the game from the beginning.
I didn't wanna give this game a bad rewiev, because I don't think it deserves it, but if you wanna buy it, be warned that this is a veery simple game and really, really repetitive. Pixel graphic is cute and nice. After a while, it gets easily boring, there's absolutely nothing to do besides crossing, crossing, crossing chickens waiting for the anticipated results and clicking on coins beyond chickens head to collect money. Sooo much clicking on coins. At first I thought that I accidently bought early access version, because bug occured right away at the begging in the tutorial. After playing couple of hours, I maintain my opinion that this should be early access game, THEN I would fairly recommend it, because it has its potiential. But there's way too little content as for this moment. Waiting for devs to expand it, I can see it could be truly fun idle game. 5/10
