If you are reading this, download this game. It is FREE. It is a 10/10 3d platformer with about 8-9 hours of incredible content. Kill a weekend or a couple of days with it, Phenomenal. I could go on about the mechanics or whatever. But I don't have to convince you. It's FREE. I easily would have paid 25-30 dollars for this experience, and to think that even more will be coming in the future... *chef's kiss* 10 OT OF 10 FREE EXPERIENCE THERE IS NO EXCUSE DOWNLOAD THIS
The Big Catch: Tacklebox is probably the best 3D platformer I’ve played in a long time. The 3D platforming is absolutely incredible, and the momentum based movement is what really makes it stand out. Building up speed, carrying that momentum through jumps, and chaining movement together is incredibly satisfying. It’s also probably some of the most challenging platforming I’ve played in a long time. The game really tests your movement, timing, and ability to control your momentum, and some of the platforming sections can be genuinely tough. But that difficulty makes successfully pulling off a difficult jump or sequence feel incredibly rewarding. And the craziest part? The game is completely free! This is technically a prologue/demo for the full release, but based on what’s here, I’ll absolutely be buying the full game day one. If you’re a fan of challenging 3D platformers, you absolutely need to check this out.

janky, frustrating controls, visual nags, repetitive music.... all more than outweighed by the sheer amount of passion in the game and the attention to expression and emotion in everything. hard as hell. addicting as hell. hell. rewarding for its challenge tho

Very fun classic 3D platformer with unique fishing mechanics and movement tech (Playtest version 1.2.4)
So far already an amazing prologue/demo that feels like a complete package already. The controls are tight, the movement is fun and the aesthetics are out of this world gorgeous, I've never seen a game that replicates the detail work and texturing of Majora's Mask like this before. Some tall towers might get a little frustrating at times with some steep drops, but with such a beautiful soundtrack and fun gameplay, I hardly can get mad at this. I'm very much looking forward to the full release, all the best to the devs!
I don't see many indie platformers nowadays, with only having played AHIT and Celeste of which played mods and 100% save files, but after hearing word of this 2 years after its release I was amazed. To start with, if this is just a demo/ prologue then goodness knows how big the main game is going to be, aside from Bowser's Fury, I don't think we've experimented enough with a truly open world 3D platformer. In the game there has been so much care and thought into how it looks and feels to play for example the over-exagerated animation when you catch a fish and the jingle that comes with it and seeing your counter going up, even that is animated to where it spins round instead of just being a number at the side going up, despite not being something of the gameplay, it remains my favourite part of the game. Speaking of, the controls are inspired but unique, you can jump, but not that high so you have to use the enviroment around you to your advantage, wall running, grinding (As always feels cool to perform) and alright swimming controls that are suprisingly faster than walking, you can also preserve momentum by slide kicking so most of the community resorts to planning the fastest route to get everything and speedrunning the game. My only gripe is that it's unclear and confusing to 100%, Needing absolutely everything (All coins is taking a soak in hell's boiling pot that gradually increases in temperature) for the final challenge/ending(? Not sure if you would call it that but anyway) you do have a radar once you collect enough but it still doesn't make it easy to re-search an area just to realise that the bomb bird outside of it drops 10. It is tedious but should take you about 8-9 hours which it took for me (I'm not ashamed, i had to use a guide for 20 coins) I believe it should just be all fish but I'm not complaining for a free demo that's longer than the entirity of many games In conclusion just go play it yourself, don't listen to me rant on about it, go earn your scales!
