A minimalist short story experience. You float around through fractal cubes, chasing blinking green lights, which lead you to audio logs. The audio logs tell a Sci-fi short story, narrated by actor David Hewlett. PROS - Free - Fractal - Good story - Great Narration CONS - No Gameplay - Not a lot to see - Slow throughout, no change in pacing. I can appreciate that creating an experience this minimal would still require a lot of work. The simple, otherworldly graphics actually add to the atmosphere of the story, but overall there's still not enough here to recommend.
An interesting sci-fi story delivered as what is essentially a 6DOF walking simulator. However, shockingly, for a game with nothing to do but fly around and listen to audio logs, the controls are surprisingly poor. It's too easy to get stuck on or even in walls, and simply orienting yourself around to find the next waypoint can be a chore. Check it out if you're looking for a neat story delivered clumsily.

This is a very interesting "floating simulator" tech demo with a game written into it. Essentially this is a wonderful example of truly creative development , immersive unique atmosphere and ingenuity. Imagine "Dear Esther", but instead of walking over a deserted island, you're floating through a quaternion fractal. The story is effectively told by following the green dots around the maze-like 3d fractal. As you locate the markers they tell a little of the story and mutate the fractal slightly, opening the space up, so what starts out as a cramped, claustrophobic experience becomes much more open, and you feel less "sheltered" and more exposed. The story is an interesting one, although doesn't go into much detail in the four-or-five lines per marker. It has a few interesting twists, but by and large you can finish it in under 30 minutes. The majority of the time is spent flying between the markers, rather than reading. To play this game requires a controller. I've talked with the developer about this, and I do understand that they believe that using a mouse with it might expose people to undesirable 'jitter', and lead to negative feedback. Their decision not to leave mouse and keyboard control in while leaving a giant warning that explains what might happen is questionable to me, but it's their prerogative, so I'll say no more about that decision. Using a controller doesn't make this game hard or easy... Any control method would probably work just as well, including using the arrow keys to rotate and slew. It's not a shooter, or require any kind of precision. I had to go borrow a controller to play this, but I'm kinda glad I did, it was a very chilled flythrough. Since it's free (currently), it can receive only a thumbs-up from me, since it's technologically fascinating, and the story, despite its short length, is engaging. On my playthrough it was silent for me. It was only when I saw "Narrated by David Hewlett" that I went back in, and THIS time, there was sound! I dunno what happened.. A bug? Anyway, yeah, give it a shot, it's only 30 minutes, and it's visually quite interesting. You WILL need a controller though. If you start playing and you don't hear ambient sounds, try closing and reopening the game.
This game is in definite need for mouse support. I would love to be able to play it, but without mouse or keyboard support I have no means to do so and I feel that the lack of such an option is something that ought to come as basic. As it stands now, I can not recommend this for that reason.

I'm not one to really give negative reviews of free games. They're free after all. But... Basically you navigate through a massive maze of abstract objects to a green dot, hear a small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear another small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, hear the next small section of the story, find the next green dot, and FINALLY hear the LAST small section of the story. The end
Uzayın ötesinde, mantığın ötesinde... insanlığın ötesinde. Akademi Ödüllü The Shape Of Water'ın yıldızı David Hewlett tarafından anlatılan distopik bir geleceğin sürükleyici hikayesini keşfedin.
