재밌었어요! 이 가격대라는게 믿겨지지않았습니다. 볼륨은 2시간반에서 세시간정도일거같아요. 엔딩보신 후 에필로그에서 진엔딩? 까지 보시면 좀더 걸릴거구요. 이상현상 찾기 류 게임이면서 중간중간 귀신과의 미니게임(?)도 흔하지만 아는 맛이 무섭다고 잘 즐겼습니다. 무서운 장면도 많아서 섬칫많이 했네요 ㅎㅎㅎ;;
I hesitate to call this an "anomalies game" because it has more than enough going for it to set it far apart from just that. It has great atmosphere/graphics, interesting plot, and other enjoyable gameplay features that are all balanced very nicely into a bite-sized, horror story experience. Current pricing ($8 USD) feels very correct for this with gameplay of about 3 hours, and a re-playable anomalies minigame afterwards. Really enjoyed this, and all the kitties.

Developed by AIXLAB and published by Smilegate and Thermite Games, The Alley is a first-person psychological horror game that embraces subtle terror instead of constant shock value. The story begins with a seemingly ordinary student heading home after class, only to become trapped inside an endlessly repeating alley where reality slowly unravels. As the familiar streets twist into an inescapable nightmare, a relentless ghost stalks every movement, forcing players to uncover the truth behind the curse before becoming another victim. Drawing inspiration from Korean folklore and shamanistic traditions, the game presents a supernatural mystery that feels distinctive and culturally grounded, helping it stand apart from many modern horror titles that rely on more familiar haunted-house settings. Rather than focusing on combat, The Alley challenges players to survive by observing their surroundings and distinguishing between genuine paranormal events and deceptive environmental changes. A camera becomes an essential investigative tool, allowing players to examine suspicious objects and hidden clues, while a mystical bracelet inherited from the protagonist's Mudang grandmother reacts to supernatural activity and guides important decisions. The gameplay revolves around identifying whether unusual occurrences are true aberrations or cleverly disguised deceptions, adding a layer of deduction that makes every trip through the looping alley feel tense. Because every mistake can carry serious consequences, players are encouraged to remain attentive and think carefully instead of rushing forward. The atmosphere is easily the game's strongest accomplishment. The seemingly ordinary urban setting gradually transforms into a place filled with uncertainty, where every corner, abandoned storefront, and dimly lit passage could conceal another horrifying surprise. Instead of overwhelming players with nonstop jump scares, the game builds suspense through subtle environmental changes, eerie silence, unsettling sound design, and the constant feeling that something is watching from just beyond sight. The endless repetition of the alley creates psychological discomfort, making familiar locations increasingly unsettling each time they reappear with new abnormalities. The ghost's persistent pursuit ensures that moments of investigation are never completely safe, maintaining tension from beginning to end. Visually, The Alley presents detailed environments that successfully capture the atmosphere of a quiet neighborhood corrupted by supernatural forces. The realistic presentation allows even small changes in scenery to become noticeable and unsettling, rewarding players who pay close attention to their surroundings. Audio design further strengthens the horror, using distant noises, ambient echoes, and carefully timed sound cues to create an overwhelming sense of isolation. Together, the visuals and soundscape immerse players in an experience where fear comes less from what is immediately visible and more from the uncertainty of what may appear next. The narrative also deserves recognition for weaving Korean spiritual traditions into its central mystery. The inherited bracelet and the protagonist's family connection to a Mudang create personal stakes that extend beyond simple survival. As players continue exploring the looping alley, they gradually uncover secrets surrounding ancient curses, lingering spirits, and supernatural forces tied to the protagonist's past. Rather than revealing every answer immediately, the story unfolds through exploration and environmental storytelling, encouraging curiosity while maintaining an air of mystery throughout the experience. Although players looking for action-heavy gameplay or complex combat mechanics may find the experience intentionally restrained, that focused design ultimately benefits the game. Every mechanic serves the central themes of investigation, observation, and psychological tension, resulting in a consistently immersive horror experience. While the gameplay loop can become somewhat repetitive due to the confined setting, the strong atmosphere, compelling mystery, and unique investigative systems help maintain interest until the conclusion. Overall, The Alley delivers an engaging psychological horror adventure that succeeds through atmosphere, cultural inspiration, and thoughtful investigative gameplay rather than relying solely on loud scares. Its blend of supernatural folklore, environmental storytelling, and observation-based mechanics creates a memorable experience that rewards patience and attention to detail. Horror fans who appreciate slow-building suspense and mysteries rooted in mythology will find plenty to admire in this unsettling journey through an endless haunted alley. Rating: 8/10
A nice mix of anomaly detection, puzzling, and hide and seek horror. Great atmosphere, cool story, and fantastic visuals. If you're a fan of indie horror games that can be completed in a single session, this is one of the better titles of its kind to come out in 2026. Give it a shot please!
