For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Motordoom dares to ask the question, "What if Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was in Hell, and also it was Vampire Survivors?" The answer, perhaps unsurprisingly, is a really cool video game.
Good, but it really needs to pick a lane: gameplay wise. Coz when your in the flow, working on a decent combo, getting those bigs scores, WHAM! thats when you get a pop up, asking if you want 20% extra penis damage? or a chance too blah blah blah. and yeah, roguelite's are cool and all, but you can have matt hoffman's pro BMX in zombie-town.. and still have plenty of room to make it fun. not interupt the game every 5 seconds with another pointless power up

This games vibe is kinda like if those '' Born to ♥♥♥♥, Forced to Wipe '' pictures were made into a playable game lowkey....
The physics are just WAY too janky for me to recommend this game. I love the orignal PS1 THPS games, but for some reason this game just feels Off with its physics. Nothing feels like it works as it should, you're super floaty and the hitreg for if you finish a combo is not great, sometimes I'll be in the middle of a combo and it will just end for zero reason, I didn't hit the ground because I was still in the middle of the air and still I loose my combo. I'll be at the very middle of a grind or manual and then in just a couple frames it just makes me crash despite it being held stable fine, it doesn't give feedback of getting more difficult while grinding or manualling it just feels like it decides "ok now we're gonna make it impossible to hold" and throws you off within frames that doesn't even give me time to react to jump out and not completely bail. I really was hopeful for this because it sounded fun, but so far it's just been frustrating instead and not because of any kind of actual difficulty. I might play more after I post this review, but it's just not sitting right with me. I'm not refunding it because I'm happy to support developers despite my gripes with the game, I hope the developer can continue to make more games.
When I discovered Motördoom, I was once again as so often, searching for music games and audio software. I still remember that I was just about to give up, telling myself: “Alright, I’ll scroll down three more times and then I’m done for today.” And suddenly, a capsule image appeared featuring what looked like a Motörhead-style font, and my eyes instantly widened. Now, Motördoom isn’t a music game, but it probably showed up there because of its soundtrack. And after I read Crust Punk and D-Beat on the Bandcamp page, the game went straight onto my wishlist. At its core, the game boils down to this: take as a foundation a mix of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, or if you prefer, Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX, then add weapons and an engine to the vehicles, and let players fight monsters through PS1-style graphic worlds while raw, uncompromising music, pairs with slaughter sounds, and ta-daaaaaaaaa - welcome to Motördoom. When it comes to whether the game is worth recommending, it really depends on a few things. And while the game is fun in its own way (at least for me, and seemingly for some others too), there are definitely a few weaknesses you have to look past. For one, the game is so close to THPS that I constantly find myself trying to pull off manuals, grinds or other tricks that simply aren’t included here, which means that instead of an adjustment phase it ends up feeling more like a re-adjustment phase. On top of that, it has to be said that the controls, moves and physics in Motördoom are fairly janky, and it’s not unusual to get stuck in level geometry or glitch through in odd ways. I do appreciate the inclusion of a photo mode, but it’s almost impossible to activate it while pulling off a cool move or trick. When I want to capture a shot, it’s not only about slicing or shooting through some grotesque demonic creatures, but also about the pose I struck in that exact moment. A good option would have been mapping photo mode to L3 - unfortunately, it can’t be reassigned manually. It’s also worth noting that you shouldn’t just accept the option to enable auto-shooting, but also go into the Gameplay menu and tick the Auto Choose Upgrade box, or at least compare the difference. Without that, the game would be torture for me, and I probably would have uninstalled it after 30 minutes. So, if you’re willing to look past a few rough edges, the kind that inevitably come up when a solo dev handles everything on their own, you’ll still find a brutally funny, or funny brutal game. If you enjoy gore, a DIY ethos and the idea of experiencing some wicked hybrid of Doom, Vampire Survivors and THPS, this one can definitely keep you entertained for a good while. If you’re unsure, you don’t have to do it like I did, just grab the demo and give it a try. However you approach it, I hope you have a great time as the arenas fill with blood and you take down bosses with names like Motörjesus. One thing is absolutely undeniable: the idea here is bloody amazing. And especially since Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 3 + 4 turned out to be a complete disappointment, rightfully hit with bad reviews, I’d much rather go back to Motördoom any day to support an indie dev than let Tony and Activision take me for a fool.
The main issue with this game is that the movement can feel super clunky and unresponsive. For a game that is all about movement and thats the spin on how this game makes a vampire survivor-like fun it really drops the bag. The game is also so easy and mindless at points that i played and beat the whole first level without worrying about health or ammo or anything like that, i was just trying to get the letters around the level
the two things vampire survivors was missing sick bike tricks lots of swearing
All you metalheads need this because this is the most Dudes Rock game to come out since Brutal Legend. It's Tony Hawk with shooting dudes and a metal/crust punk soundtrack, so it's better.
Probably one of the most fun games ive ever played, and thanks to Workshop there is even more stuff to mess around with (don't listen to people saying that they loose their combo for no reason, they just suck)
This game is extremely boring, the tricks and combos feel really awkward and bad, the shooting feels bad and the riding around feels bad. I love the vibe and music and kinda wish they focused on one or the other. Focus on the shooting and gunplay and maybe riding around and dodging would be fun or focus on the tricks and make them actually intuitive. That is what it comes down to. There are countless better rogues out their for combat and for a game with stunts and tricks there are countless others as well.
