The Adventures of Dinobot and Tiara!

Lucky me gets the dubious honour of writing the first review of The Adventures of Dinobot and Tiara!. The Adventures of Dinobot and Tiara is a "template flip", that is to say, it's a "game" that has been produced by copying a game template from GameMaker Studio, changing a few things, then dumping the barely functional "product" on Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. In this case it was a GameMaker Studio template for doing a simple mobile app endless runner, but a few things were changed (you have two hitboxes instead of one, to go along with the asset flipped sprites). GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and results in terrible games like this one. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, using a game construction kit requires no game development talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. It's almost as bad as an outright asset flip. This is nothing but a lazy, greedy cash grab (supported by the way you could buy keys for this from DailyIndieGame before it even launched, and the developers prior history of template flips) and should be avoided.

A game where you play as Triceratops and a grey Munchkin cat who team up to defeat capitalism. The gameplay loop involves running to the right of the screen while combining the jumping ability of both characters, to dodge obstacles and collect candy and getting a high score. You get a one hit shield (or "Life" as the game calls it), after a certain amount of time, and when you lose it, the timer resets and you must wait to get it again. There are several levels to choose from. Now I must give some background on the game and why it was made, as I am familiar with the Youtuber who made this. It all began with a woman...with love, as all great stories do. This Youtuber realized that he felt much love for this person, but love is impossible to just express with mere words. He also realized that life is short and nothing is permanent. One day, while looking up at the blue sky, he had a thought "I want tangible proof of my feelings... tangible proof that we existed and shared something". So, he secretly developed this game with the help of a developer, while telling his viewers that he was working on a hot new shooter with a bunch of zombies in it. I was there the day he revealed the truth during a livestream; it was not a hot new shooter, but instead this game, dedicated to his partner...we all laughed and we cried. The game itself is a metaphor, obviously there is the anti-capitalist angle. But it's also a metaphor for a healthy relationship; in life we are faced with many "obstacles", they will never keep coming as long as we are alive. In a healthy relationship, you help each other dodge and deal with obstacles, being filled with so much love it feels like you have a shield to deal with the cruelty of life, even if just for a little bit. Obviously, the candy represents the bittersweetness of life... those short respites we get through the challenges of everyday life when someone is able to support you. In a healthy relationship, one partner is ever propelling the relationship forward, while the other is taking them to new heights, almost as if reaching for that Heavenly Source and making the union fruitful, reminiscent of the Kabalistic concept of a "Beshert" (or "Soul Mate was it was bastardised by modern western pop culture). In conclusion, one may simply look at this as a "cash grab endless runner", but surely with the knowledge of the background story, you may understand the deeper implications. It is on sale for 1.19$ (which in numerology, this number is associated with "relationships/union") but money comes and goes, there are some things that cannot be obtained with money.

A nice simple game. Good time killer for the office or at school or just waiting for something and you don't want to play anything complicated. And for a dollar, you can't go wrong.

I am a massive fan of all things video game. As a self proclaimed expert on the field of gaming and a prestigious critic who is never wrong, all I can say about 'The Adventures of Dinobot and Tiara' is that I am disappointed. I have been a long time follower on the development of this game and I have been excited to see this passion project hit the market. Sadly I think my expectations for the game were greatly incorrect. you see I only play games that have hot big boobed anime girls and are jam packed with intense bone-ing. Sadly Dinobot and Tiara offers none of the above and I was under the impression that it did. This game is is also waaaaaay overpriced. A dollar is a nauseating amount of money to pay for any game, let alone a game as under sexualized as this. what a disgusting cash grab. None the less I played the game for over an hour and was mildly entertained. Even without big booty B l T C H E S it held my attention for longer than I expected and I was able to unlock all of the game achievements. I was sad to hear the creator of this game refer to it as 'not a real game' when it has a nice story and addictive gameplay, sure it's not sexy anime girls but an anticapitalist dinosaur and kitty collecting candy is almost as good. almost. Overall i'm proud to be the greatest Dino bot and Tiara player and i'm excited for whatever game THOG makes next. 0/10

エンドレスな2Dアクションスクロールゲーム 恐竜のDinobotと猫のTiaraがキャンディーを集めるゲーム。 結論から言うとこのゲームはお勧めできない。 Dinobotに乗ったTiaraを操作してキャンディーを集めるが、 ジャンプしかできず左右に移動することができない。 キャンディーは取りこぼさずに連続で１１個取ると、 コンボが発生して一定時間自機に吸い付くようになる。 いかにコンボをつなげ続けるかが このゲームのコンセプトだと思うが、 キャンディーは当たるとミスになる穴や杭、 カラスを避けられない配置でよく出現する。 さらに言えば高スコアを狙う場合、 安全なキャンディーだけ取ってミスしないようにすればいい。 無理にコンボをつなげずとも高スコアを取れてしまう。 またステージが複数選択できるが、 背景が違うだけで中身に変化はない。 ゲーム性、リプレイ性が低くおすすめはできない。 2022/9/6 追記 以前解除できなかった実績があり今回改めてプレイしたが、 実績「C.C.COMBO」はバグなのか取れない。 １度のプレイでコンボを４連続も発動させたのに・・・。 実績を気にするプレイヤーは買ってはいけないゲーム。
