While this isn't an RPG Maker asset flip, "The ABC" looks exactly like the asset flips made with it. It's a bunch of pixel assets from a construction kit combined with cringe-inducing writing. This one was made with Smile Game Builder, a weak ripoff of RPG Maker, and the developer couldn't even work out how to make a JRPG with Smile Game Builder, instead we get a crappy adventure game. At least they used the 3D engine... but this is still garbage. The topic of the game is garbage evangelism of Indian religious practices. Which has no place in gaming. It's pure cringe. Construction kits like Smile Game Builder create garbage that offers no value to PC gamers. The engines are poor and the pixelcrap is ugly, usually always asset flips, and insulting to gamers when compared to professionally developed games. This shouldn't be considered a sincerely, genuinely made game, it's just a garbage kitbash. Video game construction kits like this are just toys for making small demos and things to pass around friends. They're not supposed to be used as a substitute for actually knowing how to make real video games, which is a complex process that requires dozens or hundreds of talented developers and potentially multimillion dollar budgets... this garbage fan-fiction, slapped together over a weekend with no skill or talent or budget, just using a construction kit, has absolutely zero value compared to real, professionally made games. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics (all asset flipped from SGB stock assets) which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Now onto pricing and value. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of [b]only 2 players[/b], it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.
