Thalassa: Edge of the Abyss

I very much like the game and the story. Would definitely recommend it.

Nessun tipo di azione, nessuna avventura particolare se non svelare un mistero. Un detective subacqueo. Molto bello. Atmosfera resa perfettamente.

Thalassa erzählt eine Geschichte und es reißt einen irgendwie mit. Die Interaktion mit Gegenständen könnte etwas "schneller" sein ansonsten finde ich das Dingt echt gut.

A bittersweet and deeply human tale. Highly recommended.

It was a neat little mystery story-teller. The story was captivating, the mystery-solving aspect was fun. I like the environment and setting, the ship was beautiful, the characters all had depth to them. A few oddities were that the dialogue between any two characters felt a little awkward. There were long pauses and a weird pace to conversation and flow. During recreations of "what happened" it would have been nice if there were more ambient sounds and foley when characters moved around. My only true dislike was at times it felt like the clues to solving some mysteries really didn't make sense or easy to conclude. Overall though, good game, worth 10 hours. In the end I chose to [spoiler] leave Alex behind. [/spoiler]

Сильна ємоційна історія про життя, втрату та пошук правди. Пейзажі затонулого корабля неймовірні, інколи на локаціях відчуваєш спокій, а інколи напругу. Розповідь через спогади, дослідження, читання записів, щоб скласти картину того, що ж сталось. Атмосферна, меланхолійна, задумлива, захоплива - ось що можна про неї сказати.

It's strange, because on the one hand I found the gameplay frustratingly slow and unintuitive, and I had to suspend all disbelief to accept the story. On the other hand, it was a very unique game and setting, and two weeks after I played it, I still find myself thinking about it. So, it's one of those [i]"if you think it might be interesting to you, it probably will be"[/i] recommendations.
