It's refreshing to play a game that isn't bogged down with useless fiiller, annoyingly drawn out cinematic segments and pointless quests. You are the player trapped in a video game that takes you from a surreal Western landscape, into space and finally into the hellish mind of the creator. There's humour throughout and some refreshing concepts. The gameplay builds nicely as you progress, with the first few levels serving as a tutorial for the highly intense mid-late section of the game - where Testbed Terror really starts to shine. There's at least 6 hours of gameplay which you can revisit time and time again. The impressive soundtrack complements the sequences brilliantly, the atmosphere is totally transformed as the music changes based on where you are and if you're in a fight. The developer has programed a very useful 'kick' function assigned to the 'k' key which can be used to enhance jumps (although using a grenade works even better) or release you from tight spots on the 3D modeling. The game boils down into a great FPS with some neat twists and turns. The game's a bargain and is a great showcase for this talented new developer and the music composer.
I must first admit I won a code for this fabulous game from a competition where I cooked an amazing bowl of soup. The game starts of as any other game: with a title menu. But this is no ordering title menu. This is the Testbed Terror title menu! This game has seriously enriched my life and baught meaning and purpose to my everyday existance. I am blessed to not only know the developer but to also be able to enjoy one of his marvoulous creations. There was once a time where I didn't have Testbed Terror in my life and oh boi was that a different life. I HIGHLY remcommend this game to anyone with two eyes and a nose. If you can smell then this is the game for you. Although that being said, even if you can't smell you really should get this game. I absoultely adore the story line - especially the part at the begining. But don't get me wrong, it continously gets better as time progresses.
This game is garbage.
HOLY HELL THAT WAS ONE GREAT EXPERIENCE! Played the whole campaign, only crashed once and softlocked twice in my 4.5 hour slow stroll, the models are ugly, the shaders are broken, the enemy AI is laughable, early game is way too easy, but it ramps up to a somewhat challenge near the end. I recommend you start from chapter 1, but if it really does not suit you, start from chapter 2, its an option. I highly recommend, and it saddens me that this game will probably stay unknown. I only found out this game existed because of space quest 2099. P.S. Jordan Taylor, if you are still kicking about, keep it up :)
Definitely what I expect from an indie, one-man-developed game! True retro FPS feeling, (idiotically) story driven and cool original soundtrack. Yes, it's very basic gameplay and very easy to complete (and a few bugs aswell), but a cool time killer. Read the description and that's just what this game is.

good game fun to play
This game is actually good. The game play actually is pretty good. The only gripe I have is that I can't change mouse dpi in game. There is actually multiple endings which I wasn't expecting even if there is only 2. My favorite thing about the game is that the main character is just trying to go to a pub. The main character is a real bro for that reason alone. There is funny commentary by the main character. The concept is cool as well I won't spoil anything but honestly makes the title fitting. Actually was some plot I didn't expect. Honestly the models for the enemies actually fit because they are demons to be honest. The guns are fun to use. Movement is fun even if the fps is a little low. The only gun I didn't really use was the revolver passed the first chapter so all guns are useful for the most part. Fists aren't a terrible choice of weapon either in the first chapter since your mouse 2 actually one shots most enemies. I was recommended to play this by a friend and I definitely got my dollars worth. Also the Arnold Schwarzenegger line made me laugh every time.
is pretty fun lol nice retro style fps but with modern cool 3d graphics sorta like serious sam or painkiller nice humor and badass main character
