Good stuff: 1. Aesthetics - I like the art style a lot, it feels old but in a good way 2. Puzzles overall - procedural generation is hard to do without feeling samey and I think each of the puzzles were fun! 3. Rogue elements - I was skeptical at first because it didn't feel like the rogue elements fit this game but then with each run I felt like I had learned and the permadeath added to the experience Not so good stuff: 1. UI - I liked the aesthetic but it was confusing and too crowded at times 2. Progression - I like how the system works but it is not communicated in intuitive ways 3. Dialogue - The barrages of text were overwhelming, I would've liked to see story elements communicated in other ways

Terraforming Earth reminds me of the feelings I had from Pikmin 3, with much more Douglas Adams humor in the writing. It's a funny and silly game with fun puzzle elements.

No other monetary exchange happened. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Terraforming Earth is a quirky game about 3 little robots who are humanities last hope for bringing live back to planet earth. The game quickly starts off fairly simple. You were meant for a secret mission to colonize a distant planet, yet something at home when horribly wrong. To your surprise all life (Human/Plant & Animal) has ceased to exist. It's up to your little band of bots to restore life on the planet. Gameplay itself is very simple starting off. You have 3 different bots each with their own unique power (Lift | Teleport | Hover) and you must use these skills to go on missions to recover metal and plastics to increase production of your fellow bots. With this you can begin researching new powers and unlocking the mystery surrounding the disappearance of life on Earth. After playing a few hrs I can say this is a great game to sit down with, play a few missions (or more if you're so inclined) and then move on to something else. It's not something that HAS to be grinded out like most games and that's a wonderful draw to play it. You also can research robot upgrades that will unlock as you progress. Which will allow you to deal with even more complex challenges and levels going forward. According to the steam page there is also a "Mario Maker"-esque style level builder. So you can use the in-game assets to create and challenge your friends with levels. Speaking of friends this game allows for couch co-op or use of Steam Remote play you and your friends to tackle the challenges together. With an ever changing level layout (procedurally generated) and multiple runs possible, Terraforming Earth is a game that will give you plenty of gameplay to sink your teeth into!
