Sur mon Ecrqan 4k c'est ecrit trop petit donc injouable...
I am a big fan of IP Gauge system (Grandia II, Child of Light, FFX, Thaumaturge) so it is a green light for me, need more mana - learn words, need more tips in learning - search words in the open world around you, as people already had said; you wanna get something serious - take a tutor, you wanna get your money stolen - go bang your green owl. The game is good, some glitches here and there are okay, for now.
It's really solid and fun way to learn a language, and it has a decent variety of languages too. I chose Chinese. Yes, it's indie and could use some additional polish, but honestly, there's nothing else quite like Terra Alia on the market, even in 2026. I can confidently say that they've made the best gamified way of learning language!
Not a language-learning experience at all. I have tried it in several languages but it is just inefficient and barely seems interested in language. It is a point and click game with vocab but no conversational or practical application. it has a plot and gameplay that has nothing to do with learning languages. Works better for alphabetic languages than phonetic or character languages, but even for those - it is too slow and incomplete.
Its okay for learning a couple words here and there but other than that I just don't think its all that worth it unless on a VERY deep sale. Also, I only messed around with a couple languages but some of the translations are just weird and would just confuse beginners more than help them learn.
A very fun game and a great way to have an introduction to new languages . The only wish I have is that there was some way to increases the difficulty
This had potential but ultimately its more tedious than just thumbing through a dictionary - most of the game is trying to figure out poorly designed quests with no guidance or clear directions. I finally stopped playing after wasting 30 minutes revisiting 5 floors in a tech building that the game wouldnt even let me exit from. This is half the experience I had. Quests give no clear directions and there are no prompts to aid in navigating. Finding anything is a chore when there is no way to even rotate the camera. The rest of the game involves clicking objects to pick up vocabulary words. These words have no relevance to combat or skills, so it just raises the question of why (aside from language practice). Overall, this game cannot decide whether it wants to be Rosetta Stone or an actual game and ends up doing neither well.
