Simply put. Cash shop has things like Wall defence +30%, peace time +1h, disallow invasions for 12hours and so so much more pay to win stuff that im done. Also it didnt allow me to change language, instead using my local language which always is bad in games. I guess it tries to do what travian already did, but with p2w cash sohp. Gratz.
It's literally "build this now" "ok now build this" over and over, there's barely any freedom to see how you can grow your city and make it into your liking. Quite boring.

Tentlan is just a browser game - you either like these or not. There isn't anything that would make this game more unique than tons of other strategy/rts/multiplayer browser games.
I cannot recommend this game. For one thing it is pay2win, but I can live with that. The dev got to make money someway. I don't like Tentlan because this game is that it is WAY to handholding. And as someone who really likes strategy games I find it kind of annoying to constantly have a BIG arrow pointed at where I have to click. Futher more, this game is way to similar to other games in this genre like Tribal Wars and Grepolis. Also the fact that this game used my native language on boot is annoying since I prefere to play games in English. I didn't play the full game, so the game might get better later on. But I didn't like it.
This game is for money spenders and bullies. If you want to be subjugated to strict rules of barely being able to do anything without the iminent threat of being bullied, than this this game is for you. Bully tactics for money players, and harassment issues galore. Play this game if you like to die and start from scratch often, or have to make great effort to avoid constant bullying by money spenders.
Warning: Microtransaction infested browser game! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
Tentlan is one of thousands of nasty browser games infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free, and it's not really a PC game... this is a glorified webpage. There's only a superficial "game" here. This is basically a web game where you see a picture of a Mayan city and click around on the webpage to pretend you're managing it, which you can't do without letting the "developers" scrape through your bank accounts. Yeah, it's a scam. So really, this webpage is just a veneer wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app-like real money transaction cash shop. Thus, the true purpose of this webpage is to get you to hand your credit card details to greedy web developers so you can buy stuff in the nasty cash shop... it shouldn't be considered a real game because it's a RMT cash harvester, and has no place in your game library. Putting that toxic mobile app tier monetisation aside... this is a webpage. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could browse the web, and I don't think you did either... Steam isn't here to compete with Firefox and Chrome. The presence of this game on Steam is just a desperate attempt from a shady web developer to try scam a wider audience, an audience you certainly should not be part of. As with all browser scams, you're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality webpage, this is specifically designed to invalidate your consumer rights and destroy your right to privacy. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. As mentioned, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
This review is in English and Slovak language: Táto recenzia je v Anglickom a Slovenskom jazyku: Finding a strategy game set in the environment of the Maya and Aztecs is very difficult, so the game looks very attractive. Similar types of web games are time consuming, but I decided to give it a try. As you can see from the time played, the disappointment came very soon. The main problem is the gigantic difference between paying players + those who sit behind the game 24 hours a day on the one hand and other players on the other. For money, you can influence so many aspects at once that you can improve things in the order of multiples. This means that in a few days there will be differences that cannot be overcome in any way.
bof!
