Interesting mechanic, nice and gentle difficulty curve that's nonetheless satisfying, lovely atmosphere and presentation. Unexpectedly good writing and level of polish. Best of the CosmOS 9 games I've played so far.
A nice puzzle game with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Indeed a little short, but a lot of fun nonetheless!
Pretty nice puzzle game! It took me a bit to understand the directions, but it's a charming game with neat music. A great buy if you like to take your time and work through a game.
having done the first set of puzzles, i'm going to give this a thumbs up and i'm going to continue. after each level you do, you get some more exposition, explaining both story and how to play. the actual puzzles so far have been fairly simple; you pick a selection of moves to perform the 3 tasks for the level, the game randomises these moves, and you can lock 3 in order. you can keep restarting for luck to give you the order, but there is a correct placement and locking to perform each puzzle which i'm so far finding interesting enough to perform properly.
I really enjoyed the quasi-Zachlike vibe that this had. It has sort of a weird mechanic where there's some randomness, but perfect planning lets you always finish the level without it.
Short and sweet puzzle game with unique mechanics and style. The main idea is really interesting, allowing for a bit of luck but always guaranteeing a solution. Streamlined controls and design make the experience smooth and immediate. Weird and funky setting, graphics and sound top off this fun ride.
Tendy is a neat, simple puzzle game. The experience is certainly for casual puzzle enjoyers, as it never gets too hard, and the player can always abuse the mechanics the brute-force a level too hard for them. I love the amazing aesthetic of the game. Of course the game is very short, but it could not be any longer due to the simple mechanic. The world structure feels a tad off due to each subsequent area containing less levels, but that is nit-picking.
Best thing about this game is easily the weird but oddly satisfying art style. It's all downhill from there. The puzzle mechanic is similar to some basic "program a robot" type games, which you give it a set of instructions to complete a task, except it has this weird gimmick that your instruction set is randomized and then hidden in sets of three, which like... why? It adds nothing to the gameplay, not even additional challenge as you can just keep resetting until you get the order you want. It just annoyingly takes up time as you restart the level repeatedly, which requires you to select your instructions again every time as well. I get the sense that this was not the gameplay the devs intended, but rather than pivot or rethink it they slapped on a few bandaids like the "lock" mechanic. Which is a shame because like I said at the start, the visual design of this game is fantastic.
The randomization is the one thing that makes this a challenge at all. Most of the time, you should just reset if you can't do certain steps on your first turn, of course, then you could tell me "just lock them and you'll have what you need that first turn" and then you can still get messed up if you get a bad mix because it not only influences your move selection, but also what you would have done with the previous turn. I believe the game when it tells me that with the locking we can do, that we can ensure a solution, but running through a rough distribution of actions to make it likely I get a move and allow a few moves to be wasted is one thing, checking every random arrangement of unlocked actions is not something I'm willing to take the time on. For me, the game has devolved into resetting half the time because the moves I got aren't usable. Also, generally the UI is a bit of a nightmare to understand and navigate with a mix of mandatory keyboard controls and things that are unrecognizable as buttons. I get that it's an aesthetic, but some legible text would go a long way.
Fun puzzle game! Full of charm and some juicy UX that makes it very fun to click around. Puzzles are great too, none of them feel impossible, but still challenging
