This is a really fun game. It takes the Slay the Spire formula and spins it into the old west and adds a temporal loop into the mix. The cards and upgrades aren't anything you haven't seen before but I do really enjoy the story. It would be much better if the voice acting was actual voice actors (I'm available ;) ) but the text to speech does and exceptionally mediocre job. If you liked Slay the Spire, and want more of it, then this will definitely scratch that itch. https://youtu.be/oLJ6mMzOMTk
Cards don't do what they say whether by missing text or being buggy and feels really slow. I wish them better on their next project.
A fun rogue-like deck builder. The nice spot between luck and skill, where I don't know what will happen each run, but overall, making good progress.
Multiple cards don't operate according to printed text. Examples: - "Unstable" cards say they are removed from play if used in a round, however for some cards the opposite seems to be true, being removed if they are not used. - "Rapid Fire" [Deal 7 damage X times] The X isn't clarified, but when I've used it with 1 time, it dealt 1 damage, and when used with 3 time, it dealt 3x3 damage. The game has a neat premise, but this stuff is pretty important to have locked-down.
Simple, but good and with big potential
I played Tempus Rail a little bit, but already can say, that this game is not bad at all. I've been waiting for this game since last summer. Won't say much about it, just what I think after 1.5 hour of playing. Yes, this game uses AI voice for characters, yes, graphics very simple and may not look good, but gameplay is pretty good, it's like Slay the Spire. I really like design and sound of our revolver, enemies look interesting (sort of apocalyptic-western). Very unusual and interesing plot and concept - train that is in loop in Wild West with steampunk machines. For now I can't say much about variety of cards, only about one card thas is either bugged or I haven't discovered how to use it. But I haven't been disappointed with them. What I really upset about is that this game hasn't recieved any attention. There is not even 30+- reviews. Devs, you SHOULD advertise your game as hard, as you can. Write about it on Reddit, write to streamers, post something about it on different sites about games etc. This game has potential to become a really and I say REALLY good and entertaiming western roguelike. I hope you won't abonden your project this early. Player, give this train a try to ride you, it deserves!
