What an incredible experience. A rollercoaster of emotions through the entire game. The more you play the more you want to know about what truly happened. Engaging from start to end. I was so happy to get the good ending in my first run. When picking up my choices I always tried to strengthen the bond between brother and sister and, at the end, it felt so good and rewarding. I was scared to get the bad ending so the tension was there (you know, everyone likes good endings). This game may be not superior to Life is Strange but it delivers. Highly recommended! PD: the people who dislikes the game because there is LGBT content in it are completely id****. This game is made for grown up and tolerant people that understand the life.
8 / 10
Tell Me Why is by far the most boring Dontnod game. If you have played any of their Life Is Strange games, you know what to expect gameplay-wise. But the story is just not gripping at all. The final reveal in the last 30 minutes is quite good, but the hours before that really don't move you at all. I just couldn't move myself to care for any of the characters. Even for free in June - one of the main characters is transgender - I cannot recommend this. It will almost put you to sleep before the final.
Was suuuper keen first hour of game play was awesome till I realised it's it's a game about LGBTQ+ Stopped immediatly should have been in the games description and even though I got it for free I'm returning it lol
Gave it a fair shot and played it to the end. Genuinely unlikeable characters. Use of the supernatural ability feels brain-dead and largely has no cohesion with the story. Often randomly preachy out of nowhere. Michael is insufferable and feels like some kind of self-insert, maybe one of the writer's friends? Alyson is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Tyler isn't bad, but a large chunk of his arc feels like a sermon on acceptance - when 99% of the NPCs you encounter are, if not lightly clumsy, extremely accepting. As per the 'mystery'? Game can't seem to focus on it for more than a minute without becoming a soap box. Most importantly? Literally, nothing interesting happens. There's one bit where they have an intruder and the barn gets set on fire. Conflict? Call the police? Chase through the woods? No. Let's just have an argument and then forget it happened. Genuinely feel like the story was submitted to a sensitivity committee prior to publication. Real life is messy. Transitioning isn't always simple and clean. Not everyone has a perfect, preppy best friend therapist, or 10000% communal support. Alyson spends two days doing lite investigations with her brother, and it's... tearing her life apart? You're employed. You live in a great home. You have supernatural powers. You're moving out and going elsewhere. You have a personal therapist for a friend who just so happens to share all of your values and works at the same place. Yes, Alyson. You are a privileged ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Tyler's convinced he's meant to be alone? ♥♥♥♥♥ you just walked out on him, and he's been trying to adjust to people and accept, and even forgive people. WHAT? Alyson's crash out and phone app game is one of the biggest wastes of time I've ever encountered in a cinematic game. Bar none. … It's like a 1-2 hour pity party. Also, Eddy. You are, THE POLICE. The plot seems to forget that whenever these two do or confess to anything illegal. If Alyson stubbed her toe, there would be someone near-by with a first aid kid, a self-help book and a degree in therapy to help her through it. ALLOW. SOME. CONFLICT. IN. A. STORY. I have nothing against cinematic games. If I don't think one would make a particularly good movie, I'm probably not going to think it would make for a particularly good cinematic game either. This falls drastically short of being interesting or compelling, and I can see why it's now free.
Ja klar, wir brauchen ein Spiel über Transgender...obwohl das für die Story in dem Sinne irrelevant ist. Abgesehen davon ist die Story echt lahm und die Steuerung echt anstrengend.
Woke nonsense and boring to boot. Not recommended.
This would be a really good multiplayer game if one player played as alyson and the other as tyler.
This is my first time ever posting a review of a game. I must say, if you need to heal after a long day, week, or even a month, and you’ve been doubting your family bonds, you have to play this game. And if you’re curious about it, it’s definitely worth giving it a try. Once you’ve completed the game 100%, you’re going to realize that you need to love your loved ones even more and feel grateful that you still have them the people who are always there for you. Growing up, eating, playing together... blah blah. As for the textures, effects, dialogues, music... everything was great except for one thing: the movement. That’s just my personal opinion, though. Thanks for giving me such an unforgettable experience!
