This game's incredible! The passion, the drama, the romance. I loved all of it! The game handles like a dream and the sprite work is amazing. I loved blasting onis and killing the hilarious bosses. Dan the man f'd me up big time. I hope this guy puts out lots more games, I bet the developer is such a hunk cause wow, this game is good!
The Steam remaster of Teatime Samurai is an excellent update to the original release. $3 is a very fair price, for a nice arcade-style game. UPDATE: Multiple new bosses and a massive overhaul of the games core gameplay loop with an added weapon system have made this an even better game. Highly recommend for the price.

Japon folklorundan esinlenerek tasarlanmış renkli canavarların yer aldığı, dört oyuncuya kadar oynanabilen retro arcade tarzı çift kollu nişancı oyunu.
"Teatime Samurai" is a laughably badly made 2D retro pixel top down twin stick shooter with a vague "tea time in ancient Japan" theme that doesn't make sense and certainly doesn't help the terrible delivery. The most enjoyable part of this game is the thought that the developer genuinely thought people would give him money for this. What do you do in the game? Really bad twin stick shooting, that's it. Shallow and pointless. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $3 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time. Note: Joke reviews As usual, with some of the worst games on Steam, all the comedians come out of the woodwork. The vast majority of the reviews for this game are joke reviews, mocking the game for just how bad it is. The comedians give us the usual "this game cured my cancer, saved my marriage, changed my life" story... sarcastic, but not useful if you want to know if the game is worth it. Because most of the reviews are humorous but also insincere and not reflective of the actual quality of the product, the positive review score for this game should be taken with a grain of salt.
hey really liked the game. next time tho make it harder.
