Tearstone

Buggy, quirky, but I finished it somehow. Wouldn't recommend it except for the true hidden object game ironperson

Tearstone is a bit old, so the graphics could be more detailed and there is no HDR graphical effect to light up the dark areas. However, it is less easy than the typical hidden object game, which for me is a good thing because recent HO games tend to be of the sort "Click here, my dear child" and/or "go forward, go back, go forward, ...". The cursor is not always very helpful and a sharp eye is sometimes needed to locate items in half-darkness. What's more, and more interesting, a touch of creativity (some would say less logic...) is needed to get some of the objects or puzzles. On the whole, we enjoyed it and, with a bit of patience, we didn't need any hints.

รีวิว Tearstone เกมผจญภัยแนวหาของที่เราจะได้เล่นเป็นนักผจญภัยออกตามหาเมืองลึกลับแห่งหนึ่งที่ชื่อ Tearstone จากคำบอกเล่าของศาสตราจารย์ แต่พอไปถึง กลับพบว่ามันเป็นเมืองลอยฟ้าที่กำลังตกอยู่ในอันตราย เพราะหิน Tearstone ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจของเมืองได้หายไป ทำให้ไม่มีแหล่งป้องกันอันตรายจากเหล่าปีศาจที่จะเข้ามายึดครองเมือง เพราะงี้พระเอกก็เลยต้องช่วยออกตามหาเพื่อทวงคืนความสงบสุขของชาวเมืองกลับมา ระบบเกมหลักๆก็จะเป็นการตามหาไอเทมสำคัญต่างๆที่ซ่อนอยู่ในฉากเพื่อเอาไปใช้เปิดทางไปต่อ ไอเทมบางชิ้นต้องผสมกันโดยใช้ Magic Mixer เพื่อให้ได้ไอเทมชิ้นใหม่ ตัวเกมค่อนข้างยากโดยเฉพาะปริศนาต่างๆในเกม เพราะต้องใช้ตรรกะในการหาคำตอบ มีบางช่วงที่เกมหลุด โดนเด้งออกจากเกมแบบงงๆ ไม่ก็เครื่องค้างจนต้องเปิดคอมใหม่ ยังดีที่เกมเซฟให้โดยอัตโนมัติ ส่วนตัวผมมองว่ามันมีกลิ่นอายของเกมผจญภัยแนว point & click ยุคเก่าๆ เพียงแต่ถูกปรับให้เข้ากับเกมหาของสมัยใหม่ที่คนสมัยนี้คุ้นเคย โดยรวมก็ตามมาตรฐานเกมแนวหาของทั่วไป ถือว่าดีใช้ได้

Sebbene non sia proprio da buttare, devo dire che non vale i soldi che costa, a meno che non riusciate a prenderlo in forte sconto o in un bundle, come ho fatto io, in quel caso merita giusto un sufficiente. La storia non ha molto senso e se ne perde presto il filo, visto che viene raccontata solo tra un capitolo e l'altro, e che durante il gioco vero e proprio se ne fanno riferimenti un pò vaghi. Il gioco in se è più simile ad una avventura grafica semplificata e gestita con un inventario stile HoG. In effetti, ogni scena è un HoG, e spesso dovrete esplorare ogni luogo più volte per riuscire a trovare tutti gli oggetti che vi servono, che sono nascosti molto bene, anche dal fatto che la grafica è a bassa risoluzione e piuttosto fosca. Ha comunque degli aspetti interessanti, come proprio la struttura del gioco, piuttosto originale, ed ha anche delle buone musiche. Ogni capitolo si svolge in un luogo completamente nuovo e con nuovi personaggi, e quindi anche da questo punto di vista non è male, riducendo la ripetitività. Mi è capitato di dover (o voler) seguire una guida perché semplicemente non avevo la pazienza di trovare gli oggetti che mi servivano per proseguire, il che è tutto dire per un HoG. In effetti, in questo HoG ho apprezzato più le altre parti del gioco, a differenza degli altri giochi del genere, dove spesso salto i mini-giochi. Parlando di mini-giochi (o puzzle), qui sono ragionevolmente semplici, e comunque potrete saltarli tutti senza problemi. Non c'è una mappa, ma ogni capitolo è veramente piccolo (circa 5/7 ambienti) e quindi non è un problema. Insomma, un gioco un pò vecchio che non brilla in nessuna area, ma abbastanza originale e vario da tenervi impegnati quelle circa 3 ore che servono per completarlo, ma solo se lo pagate un prezzo molto basso.

While I enjoy HoGs, even ones that feel really old, I was determined to play to the finish until I reached the halfway point. I don't know if there's a bug in this chapter, but I missed one object in a scene I couldn't seem to find and another never showed up and then I couldn't go back to get the object I needed. After that, I've had it freeze several times in the middle of game play and I've had it freeze upon trying to load the game. I hate to abandon games, but this isn't the first one I've encountered with such issues. I would not recommend this game at full price.

Baffling

Anfangs gefiel mir das Spiel gar nicht. Da die Maus immer flackert und man sich an das Gameplay erst gewöhnen musste. Ich empfehle das Spiel, da es im laufe des Spiels lust auf mehr machte. Und mir machten auch die Mini Games und auch die Hidden Objekt Scene Spaß zu lösen. Auch wenn das ganze Spiel eine altere Erscheinung hat hatte ich 7 Stunden Spielespaß.

Sorry got to give this a downvote - crashed my laptop; actually what happened is that it hung and I was unable to change focus so I had to restart my laptop. I also attempted to put it on a better machine and use steam streaming; and of the many,many games (some steam and some not) I done this with it, it is the only game which was not compatible with steam streaming. As it is - a rather interesting, but primitive HOG/adventure combo - but I only completed the first chapter before giving up.
