Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 9 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Explore a gorgeous roguelite hockey world where every choice matters on your journey to restore hockey to its former glory. Hire unique players, manage your benchwarmers, discover synergies between them, choose new abilities, bribe the referees, visit the Blademaster for upgrades and a lot more.
Take charge of a ragtag group of hockey players in a roguelite journey across a mysterious land. As the newly appointed captain, every choice matters on your path to discover the secret of hockey's last bastion. Hire superstars, utilize the synergy found between players, and harness ruthless abilities, all in favor of crafting an unbeatable team.
Easier said than done, as the ultimate dream team doesn’t appear out of thin air. Use losses as an opportunity to visit the mighty Blademaster in between runs and permanently upgrade your hero for the battles ahead. When the Center is still flubbing every single face-off, there’s no shame in lining the ref’s pockets with some sweet “maple syrup.”
Combining modern precision with fast-paced 90s-inspired action, Tape to Tape offers a unique experience in the form of a simcade hockey experience. Bone-crushing body checks and stellar saves will keep players shaking in their skates, but mastering the dynamic puck physics system will secure the victory. Players and goalies will react to the puck bouncing off sticks and ricocheting off faces creating organic and emergent battles on the ice. Thankfully, there is no penalty when a tooth is lost.
A deep Roguelite campaign featuring countless powerups, events, boss battles and unique players
Create and customize your teams and players with power-ups, artifacts, and personalized color options
Over 40 different teams, each with unique synergies and colorful players
Local, couch and Steam Remote Play multiplayer for up to 10 players
Innovative goaltenders that react organically to any shot, deflected puck or rebound -goals never feel unfair
A unique co-op campaign delivering a roguelite experience like no other
Challenge your friends in Tournament, Play now or Shootout modes or play the Campaign cooperatively
A unique gorgeous blend of hand-drawn 2D sprites and animations in a 3D environment
Note: Tape to Tape does not feature native online multiplayer. However, you can still play with friends remotely using Steam Remote Play Together or third-party services such as Parsec.
Experience the Roguelite Campaign at its best in co-op. Team up with friends to conquer the campaign, debate every power-up choice, and embrace the glorious chaos that makes each run unforgettable.
You can also jump into Play Now mode, where up to 10 players can face off locally. With a wide variety of teams, deep gameplay, and countless power-ups, every match feels chaotic, competitive, and endlessly replayable.

The game was good until I started trying to take Merciless. Every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time I take this talent as my first talent, the game becomes 1000% harder. The teams that I used to beat with 40 OVR nobodies and Rare Berry start playing like they've got 500 OVR. Out of curiosity, I started testing and picking this talent as my first talent as often as possible, and it's total nonsense. The opponent team's behavior changes DRASTICALLY. Your own team's behavior gets WORSE. As I'm writing this review, my team has an average OVR of 90 per player, Rare Berry +20 OVR, and Referee Rumble +20 OVR, and I'm getting rolled like I have 10 OVR. I played with completely different teams and different talents, but this kind of behavior only happens with Merciless. And usually my playthrough splits into two scenarios: either I lose in the first location, or I clear all locations and all bosses, with matches ending early (4-0, 5-1, 6-2, etc.) in the first half (and with bosses in the second). BUT WITH THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MERCILESS. With the stats and talents I currently have in the game, I should be destroying them to zero. Explain to me BY WHAT MAGICAL MEANS two playthroughs before this I beat the Knights in the first half SOLELY because I had one player with 80 accuracy and the rest of the stats below 45. And in the third playthrough, my first talent is TALENT, and by the time I reach the Knights I have — Angus 84 OVR, Star 92 OVR, and the rest 65-75 OVR, I have REFERE RUMBLE and BUZZER BEATER and RARE BERRY, and I can't finish the game early because of MERCILESS, and I can't win no matter what I do??? I finished game againt Khingts 12-10!!!!!!! It's disgusting. THE GAME IS JUST DISGUSTING.

Overall, one of the best representations of “classic” NHL games. It blends elements of NHL 94 with NHL Rock the Rink and adds its own rogue-ish spin. Gameplay and the overall gameplay loop has evolved dramatically throughout its development which I believe has landed in a fun spot. I’m excited to see what improvements they make in the months to come. A must-play on Steam Deck or with friends on a TV.
Muito divertido, uma forma de aliviar um pouco da coceira da ausência dos jogos de hóquei no PC, trazendo uma abordagem bem leve. 9/10
WARNING: REVIEW WRITTEN IN EARLY ACCESS!!! it pret good
Macht Laune!
Okay so I don’t write reviews often, but this game is a must buy if you ever enjoyed NHL Hits. As a spiritual successor, this game incorporates elements of rouge likes in a way that blends my passion for hockey violence with a progression based system to challenge myself with. It is an all timer on the steam deck. I’m very wary typically of games under development, but the gameplay development over the past year alone shows they are listening to the reviews of the community and want to polish this game off.
Is Good.
Huippu peli, perusversio on hyvä, mutta tämänhetkinen beta parantaa peliä, vaikeustaso nousee ja eri joukkueet vaativat pelaajalta sopeutumiskykyä erilaiseen pelaamiseen.
Fun game. New update is good. Some bugs with AI doing random dumb stuff and just being less reliable on the player team side of things. Your guys will often just stand around ignoring the puck, shoot randomly, pass to nowhere for no reason, but it is generally fun. Unless you get pretty lucky though, at a point the computer AI just way outclassed you because it's essentially 1 v 6 unless a friendly AI gets into a obvious advantageous spot so you can utilize them rather than blunder the puck.
