Fantastic game, awesome puzzles, hard but, not too hard. creepy and cute! but.....horrible ending, like super disappointed in the ending, It left me fuming!!
If you've not been introduced to puzzle platforming games before, this is a proper entry point for stuff like Braid, Limbo, Another World and games where the premise isn't to defeat baddies. Simple enough, solve the puzzles stopping the teddy bear from gaining you some sort of magical fragment of a key to unlock the next area. Each new area starts off with a new mechanic to get used to and each level is packed with tons of variety. It's a fair game that doesn't focus on punishing you. Messing up doesn't send you back to the beginning but it will put you at the point most advantageous after failure. Well worth playing to chill with.
畫面精美,不過謎題重複率稍高
Um bom jogo fim de tarde. só bem curto.
Good puzzle platformer with the main mechanic of shifting shadows to change platform layout. It follows the genre in having no combat and only light action/timing/platforming challenges. Victorian England setting tends towards disney/children's book rather than steampunk, and the narrative does too unfortunately (fails to be a more literary fairy tale like alice in wonderland). Tandem's superficial narrative and its linearity/lack of exploration are its biggest flaws.
One of the very few cases were a puzzle game that makes you control more than one character doesn't do that to just slow down the gameplay and make it seem more complicated than what it really is, and instead only uses this to expand the possibilities for other interesting puzzles. And also don't be discouraged by what looks to be about both stealth and strict timing in some sections, there's no stealth in the traditional sense, is all an enigma about distracting, blocking the view and/or even trapping those enemies so that one of the two can pass with ease. And the bosses were all interesting in their own ways. However I must say that the ending was really unsatisfying and felt like everything we did through the game was useless, and it wasn't an interesting kind of hopeless ending, just a meh one honestly, also because there was no boss in the final. Can't say for sure if a sequel is needed, but at least a DLC that doesn't make everything we've been through useless, even if it doesn't fix all that happened in the main game, should be there (at least to explain more deeply the secrets behind the mansion), like the Whistleblower one from Outlast
