With their multiple stories and chapters, you and your friends can play together.
The Game of The Play
Tales Up is a game launcher kind of game, kind of like Roblox. Most stories require a certain amount of people to play it, but you can add “Companions” which will fill out the rest of the party. The game is free, so it's no shock that only one chapter of each available story is unlocked. The rest of the chapters the player would need to purchase with in-game currency. And some stories need to be purchased to unlock to be able to play. The tabs that are displayed on the side of the screen are:

Adventures: The stories you can play.
The Gallery: The main campaign story. (It's solo only.)
Social: Find & add new or old friends to play with.
Companions: Purchase new hidden companions to be able to play larger required stories.
Rewards: When leveling up or completing quests.
Shop: Purchase in-game currency.
Menu: Classic menu with different options.
Then at the bottom, you can quickly join a friend's game by typing in the lobby code of the hosting friend.
Pros and Cons
Pros

Free
Allows the player to try a part of the game before spending money
Drawing style
Songs & Sound effects
Leveling & Reward system
Customizable profile character
Cons

Game launcher look (The top shows the “File - Edit – View” etc., like editing studios.)

My final little thoughts
Tales Up allows the player to try a few of their stories first chapters to give them the freedom to decide if they actually want to spend money for in-game currency, which would act as simply buying the game, and unlock a whole book (aka all chapters of a story). But all in all, I highly recommend this game if you and your friends or new potential friends like scary, funny, exciting, dramatic, and more stories. Try out a few different stories and purchase the rest of the chapters to play the full story and see where it leads. You start the game by choosing an adventure and playing it. It's quite limited to a few adventures, but they are quite interesting. You choose characters to play with you. Some maps have play limits, so make sure you have enough players. From the game I played, the beginning was quite interesting and had pictures for a lot of items. The game wasn't that immersive until I finished 1 chapter. A chapter is a section of a story that make up the whole game, just like a book. After I beat the first chapter, I wanted to try the second chapter. But costed "Tickets", which I am quite sure cost money. The game prompted me to make an account after I tried to play the second chapter. I didn't want to enter my email for the game because 1) It was not very immersive and 2) I didn't want to pay and 3) I don't like to place my email randomly. I would rate this game a 6.5/10. I would change my review to a recommended if: 1. I didn't need to enter my email or create an account 2. There are more stories
I could recommend it, not bad as a free demo. You can look at the first chapter/15 minutes of 8 different stories out of the 20 they have in the game. I like the idea of the DnD style party and having options for solo and multiplayer groups as well as local and online options. The stories themselves are fairly straightforward and it gives you an idea of what is available. +Art style +Music +Choose your adventure +Variety of stories, choices +DnD-lite style party for solo or group +Local and online play +Free demo (1st chapter of 8/20 stories) -3rd party account and payment needed to unlock fully -No custom companions/avatars, few choices -Slow loading issues -No voice -Lacking animations -No custom campaigns/stories -Short, ~1hr per full story (~15min in demo)
