Tales of Nebezem: Elemental Link

I found out about this game through the minigame Tales of Nebezem: Golden Scepter on Kongregate (which is also fantastic!), and decided to keep an eye on it. Once it was released and I realised how cheap it was, I figured I couldn't not! I love this game!! The writing is cute, and the story is interesting, and while you can see some of the beats coming, there are enough interesting twists and turns to keep you engaged with the story. The sprites are well-drawn, and each character feels visually unique, as well as personality-wise. Each of the Nations of the game makes sense, and I love the character interactions & relationships at the end of the game.

Super cute puzzle type game. Learn new spells, get to new areas. A bit frustrating in the beginning when trying to figure out paths, but was a lot of fun. Definitely recommend.

It was really neat how the dev used RPGMaker to make a game that is absolutely nothing like most RPGs. It was very easy to get attached to the world (maybe I should follow Megami too?). I really enjoyed the little side plots, and it took me 3 playthroughs to get all the uniduality tokens. Between this and the Kongregate shorts, it has a great story and I look forward to seeing if the dev will do anything more with it. The only complaint I have was the romance was kind of weird. Personal feelings aside, there wasn't a lot of development with either of the couples and it just kind of happened. Side note: I'm glad you didn't kill Michiko AND Tiali. I would have been very sad had they both died.

Excellent game with a great story. The puzzles were challanging but not impossible and I found myself staying up later than I should've multiple nights trying to find out what happens next. I can't wait for more!

I absolutely adored this game. At some points the puzzles were very challenging but I was surprised by the story as I just believed it would mostly be a puzzle game. We definitely recommend!

I've been following the prequels on Kongregate for months now and I'm glad I finally bought this game. What a great little game. Graphics and animation are cute, controls are easy, and the puzzles are in the right spot between challenging and too frustrating.
